OLB: Oryend Fisher, 6’6, 200, Great Crossing, KY
A long pass rusher with an 81-inch wingspan. Fisher is lightning quick off the ball and will blaze past opposing tackles. He’s proven to be reliable as both a stand-up end and a true hand in the dirt five-technique. When he can’t get to the quarterback, he will consistently put his hands up to swat away opposing passes. Fisher has proven production, posting 7.5 sacks as just a sophomore. He’s extremely twitchy and features great bend when coming off the edge. He’s a bit of a tweener right now, based on his weight. If he adds twenty pounds, I don think there’s any question you’re looking at a Division one prospect.
DB: Tawfiq Jabbar, 6’1, 185, Xenia, OH
A straight thumper who literally knocked a kid out of his helmet! Jabbar is taller for a cornerback prospect and isn’t afraid to come up and tackle in run support. He’s shown solid ball skills to go along with adequate recovery speed. He’s got heavy hands that he uses to get off blocks on the perimeter and make plays in space. He’s hard to shake in the open field and can provide a spark as a return man. Jabbar, to me, has division one potential and should be on the radar of more schools.
OLB: Khalil Jacobs, 6’3, 210, Niceville, FL
A freaky athlete who can make an impact in multiple ways. Jacobs will smack opposing ball carriers and keeps his feet moving on initial contact. He’s explosive off stunts and will sell tackles upfield before coming underneath. If you leave him unblocked, he will eat up TFL’s. He’s a high effort kid who will retrace back as a pass rusher and can chase down quarterbacks from behind. I love his versatility and think he, too, needs to add some weight to his frame, but the ability is surely there.
ATH: Peyton Ledford, 6’2, 225, Franklin County, KY
Not a bad stat line as a sophomore, totaling 135 tackles, 11 TFL’s & 4 forced fumbles. Ledford bowls through blockers to create chaos in opposing blocking schemes. He’s got some serious pop behind his punch and will put opponents into the ground. He’s a see ball get ball linebacker who will shoot through a gap, accelerate and make a play in the backfield. He will fill any hole in the box and consistently will stalemate any running back coming at him with a full head of steam. He’s a very talented fullback prospect as well and could have a future there too.
