Keeping up with all the promising prospects can be challenging so today we are breaking down 4 hidden prospects in Georgia.

Koita is a promising young prospect with good size at 6’1” and 280 lbs. He does a great job using his weight to his advantage, overpowering linemen. Koita has shown the ability to dominate the line of scrimmage. He has a fantastic swim move that helps him get around stronger linemen. Aside from penetrating the line of scrimmage, he is capable of maintaining his gap and does a good job filling running lanes. He had a solid season for Pope, finishing the year with 20 solo tackles, 31 total tackles, and 2.0 sacks. His presence is felt on passing and running plays. There is a lot to like about Koita’s game and he is a nice prospect who could succeed at the next level.

Brown is an explosive wide receiver from South Georgia. He is quick off the line and does not waste time getting into his routes. His ability to separate from defensive backs makes him a threat in one on one coverage. He is a playmaker that can make defenders miss. Brown excels at running slants, curls, posts, and go’s. Aside from his route running, he has strong hands. He has a nice catch radius, often catching passes away from his body. Brown is capable of catching passes in traffic and does a good job holding onto the ball. In his junior season, he caught 31 passes for 587 yards and 8 touchdowns. Overall, Brown is an amazing athlete with the potential to complement a collegiate offense well.

Baker is a stud prospect for Parkview and was one of the driving factors in Parkview’s success this past season. At 5’10” and 175 lbs he can play the slot or outside corner at the collegiate level and he still has another year to grow. He is fast with lightning feet, this helps him break on receivers quickly. Baker does a good job coming downhill, usually making the tackle or forcing an incompletion. This past season, he had 17 solo tackles, 27 total tackles, and 1 interception. Baker plays fearless and the “soft defensive back stigma” is not applicable to him. He can run with receivers and excels at staying close without drawing pass interference. Baker’s skillset is encouraging and proves that he has the ability to add value to a college program.

Colbert is a shifty back from Athens, GA with amazing quickness. Colbert is elusive enough to make defenders miss in the open field. Extremely quick in and out of cuts. He can also buy time in the backfield and bounce runs to the outside to turn negative plays into positive ones. The definition of versatile, he can run in between the tackles, outside the tackles, and catch passes out the backfield. In his junior season, he finished with 152 carries for 626 and 5 touchdowns; as well as, 16 receptions for 224 yards and 1 touchdown. Consistent, he averaged 4.1 yards per carry last season, constantly moving the chains for Cedar Shoals. Colbert is a powerful runner as defenders cannot just rely on arm tackles to bring him down. Colbert has the makings of a successful collegiate running back.
