Instead of dwelling on what last year was all about, head coach Tim Hatten and his Bulldogs – while they aren’t forgetting to those tough losses to Fort Walton Beach, Milton and Escambia, are playing on the positives.
If you want positives – how about the 21 current juniors who will be the heart and soul of this team? What about the 27 players who have earned a 3.0 GPA or better? Now, those are two things that this off-season will continue to be all about. Working hard in the classroom and getting the athletes college ready on the football field.
As this program heads for spring – they will do it with a deep Class of 2022 that includes prospects like Jesse Akins (OL/DL), Thaddeus Atchison (WR – 3.6 GPA), Brandon Blackshear (OL – 3.15 GPA), Chase Boydston – 3.89 GPA), Tison Breen (QB), Xavier Collins (WR/DB), Jonathan Daniel (LB – 3.42 GPA), Devin Harris (WR/DB – 3.9 GPA), Tre’von Harris (RB/LB), Jacquis Holliday-Dortch (WR/DB),
Kolby Jackson (OL – 3.22 GPA), Jahlein Mays (DL) and versatile (RB/LB) standout Alex Murray (RB/LB).
The rising senior class also features standouts such as Marcus Patterson (LB – 3.38 GPA), Johnathan Sanders (DL), Jamarian Speights (WR/DB – 3.35 GPA), Tyrell Stewart (LB), Raheim Studevan (DB), Brady Vann (PK – 3.38 GPA) and linebacker JaMarius Wilks (3.15 GPA).
With a very impressive group for the Class of 2023, the Bulldogs will have plenty of depth as they continue to build this program – on and off the field.
Among those rising juniors include Jace Andrus (LB – 3.27 GPA), Robert Bonevechio (OL – 3.21 GPA), Anthony Boyer (OL/DL – 3.87), Jerome Brazan (QB – 3.0 GPA), Cyrano Cano (LB), Michael Carson (OL), Jake Edwards (DL – 3.0 GPA) and La’Terion Hart (RB) offer this program some talent that will help this year – as well as into the future.
Marion Hawthorne (LB – 3.1 GPA), Noah Hensley (OL -3.31 GPA), KeShawn Holzendorf (OL), Ze’Shawn Hutchinson (WR), Jason Jones (QB), Peyton Knight (OL), Jayden Knox (RB/DL), Caleb Krumnow (DL – 3.38 GPA), Bryson Martin Bryson Martin 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Clearwater Central Catholic | 2022 FL (WR – 3.27 GPA), Cecil Purdue (WR/DB), Simeon White (DB – 3.6 GPA) and defensive lineman Cameron Whitaker (3.8 GPA).
Coach Hatten and this program also showcase prospects in the Class of 2024 who will step in and help in 2021 – as well as add depth and future players in this building process.
Among those rising sophomores are Jaden Appleby (LB), Andre Jackson (DB – 3.8 GPA), Daton Kolmetz (WR/DB – 3.0 GPA), Darryl Lowe (LB/RB), Will Mowery (WR/LB – 3.4 GPA), Nathaniel Nocher (QB – 3.1 GPA), La’Zarius Parks (RB – 3.85 GPA), Maddox Reeves (OL/DL – 3.25), Ahmaud Thomas (WR/DB), Isaiah Thomas (WR/LB – 3.63 GPA) and running back Randy Thomas will push hard this off-season to have a much-improved prospect in 2021.
