Grant Ray- 6’3” 290- Roncalli
Ray is by far the most physical player along the talented Roncalli offensive line and earned Junior All-State and All-Marion County honors in 2020. He’s incredibly strong in both the upper and lower body and can put a defender on their back with just a punch. He does a good job keeping his hands inside and can win with technique or brute strength. His body will need to keep leaning out some compared to his junior tape, but he still showed enough burst to get out ahead and be a weapon while pulling. Ray reports no current offers but will end up at a Division 1 program and is one of the most impressive linemen in the state.
Makhi Watts Makhi Watts 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL North Central | 2022 State IN – 6’3” 285- North Central
Watts has had an accomplished junior year at North Central, being named to the Junior All-State team on the gridiron and a state-qualifying wrestler. He played both guard and tackle as a junior but projects best on the interior at the next level. His wrestling background gives him a good understanding of leverage and knows how to ragdoll a defender. He’s a strong player but at times can rely on pulling down his man rather than delivering a punch in pass pro. Watts moves well in short areas but improving his overall athleticism will benefit him when he pulls out in space. Overall, Watts impressed in 2020 going up against the top competition on a weekly basis.
Sam Secrest- 6’6” 285- Roncalli
Secrest had a tremendous junior season for class 4A state champion Roncalli, especially considering it was his first year playing football. He has a very athletic-looking build and will easily be able to keep adding weight, as he’s up 20 lbs already from his junior season. He shows nice flexibility in his game but can pop straight up at times, which will improve as he gains experience. Secrest currently plays center but could get a chance to play tackle in the future due to his length if he keeps developing. Despite no current offers, he’ll likely end up at a Division 1 program due to his potential.
Jack Greer Jack Greer 6'3" | 290 lbs | OL Hamilton Southeastern | 2022 State IN – 6’4” 284- Hamilton Southeastern
Greer is an extremely impressive all-around lineman for class 6A HSE, earning Junior All-State honors playing both guard and tackle. He sports a lean frame and is very strong. Greer can explode up to the second level and creates wide lanes in the run game. When out at tackle he has a nice kick step and is quick in his drop. There’s not much in his game to dislike and he has a bright future. Greer currently reports offers from Illinois State, Eastern Illinois, Dartmouth, Eastern Michigan, and Indiana State.
RJ Brooks RJ Brooks 6'2" | 270 lbs | OL Lawrence North | 2022 State IN – 6’2” 270- Lawrence North
Brooks plays left tackle for Lawrence North but will be a guard at the next level. He has great leg drive in the run game and nice lower body strength. He’s very quick in space and doesn’t give up on plays. Brooks has some posterior stiffness and is too much of a hip-bender right now. Playing in the top conference in the state, Brooks was named to the All-MIC underclass team in 2020.
Chris Farah Chris Farah 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Cathedral | 2022 IN – 6’4” 280- Cathedral
Farah is a nice athlete that can run well out in space. He has quick feet and is impressive on combo blocks. Farah has a strong upper body and can toss defenders but will need to get stronger in the lower body and improve his anchor. His long limbs and flexibility are an asset and will be part of a talented offensive line for nationally ranked and defending 5A state champion Cathedral.
