There are a lot of young talented linebacker prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
Anthony Weaver- Keswick Christian
5’11 210lbs
Weaver’s had an outstanding Junior season registering 83 tackles and 20 tackles for loss! Weaver is a big play linebacker that makes a lot of splash plays, he is a terrific athlete, he fills holes quickly and comes under control, making great form tackles. He has a lot of speed, range, and plays sideline-to-sideline. He’s getting some notice from smaller schools.
Bryce Battle- Carrollwood Day c/o 23
6’1 200lbs
Battle is an intriguing prospect that only played in four games last season because of injury, he’s a terrific athlete that is outstanding playing in space. He’s a rangy linebacker that does a good job using his hands to fight off blocks and getting to the football with burst and athleticism, very good open-field tackler, he’s the Prototype linebacker that you need in this day and age against spread offenses. He has a very high ceiling and the sky’s the limit for him. He’s an outstanding student with a 4.05 GPA.

Connor Zaragoza- Cambridge Christian
6’2 200lbs
Zaragoza’s a heck of a linebacker, I got the opportunity to watch him live this season, he is a heck of an athlete that moved over to cornerback in the game I watched to shadow a five-star Prospect all game and held him to one catch. He’s got really good chase speed to close gaps, he’s active and does a good job timing his blitzes and splitting blocks to get to the ball carrier, physical player and tackler, and can play out in space and cover. He’s a very good prospect that schools need to start looking at very soon.

Demetri Whitehead- Zephyrhills Christian
6’0 190lbs
Wade had a good season last year for Zephyrhills Christian on offense (plays running back) and defense, he registered 48 tackles and one interception, he’s another athlete that can play out in space, there’s not a lot of film on him at linebacker, but you can see the burst and speed that he possesses. He has enough athleticism that he could move to safety at the next level. Definitely one to keep an eye on this season.

Dontaevis Lloyd- Zephyrhills Christian
5’11 190lbs
Lloyd is another two-way player for Zephyrhills Christian that also excels at running back rushing for 215 yards last season, he chipped in on the defensive side of the ball with 36 tackles and 2 sacks. He shows good agility and closing speed and is aggressive tackling the ball carrier. He also shows the ability to get after the quarterback and change directions and chase. He can play multiple positions at the next level.

Kyle Brown- St. Pete Catholic c/o 23
5’11 190lbs
Brown is an active linebacker that consistently attacks downhill, uses his quickness to penetrate and cross the face of blockers, he does a good job coming to balance and is a good open field tackler. He plays more physical that his size. He’s a player to watch out for this season.

James McMahon- Northside Christian
6’3 205lbs
McMahon is a very good linebacker Prospect, he’s a very active and fluid linebacker that has sideline-to-sideline speed and shows closing burst off the edge, and accelerates to chase all over the field. He can play with his hand in the dirt or you can flex him out to play in space, his film really shows off his versatility. He’s receiving interest from small schools, good enough athlete to play at a bigger school.
