Jameer Lewis Jameer Lewis 6'3" | 225 lbs | ATH McComb | 2022 State MS | ATH| McComb
One of the most versatile big men in the state, Jameer Lewis Jameer Lewis 6'3" | 225 lbs | ATH McComb | 2022 State MS comes in at 6’4″ 225. He is a jumbo athlete that can do basically everything on the field. A two way starter, Lewis will be able to decide what his future position will be. On offense, he serves as McComb’s tight end which sometimes flexes out to outside receiver. Lewis has excellent hands and uses his length to go up and pluck balls out of the air. He tracks the ball extremely well and comes down with every catch. Lewis also has tremendous speed for his size and has the lower body twitch to run routes fluidly. On defense, Lewis is a nightmare coming off the edge. His initial quickness off the ball and ability to get to the quarterback are incredibly impressive, and his raw strength and bull rush are good as well. With his long arms, Lewis is also extremely disruptive in passing lanes, even bringing in some INTs! All in all, Jameer Lewis Jameer Lewis 6'3" | 225 lbs | ATH McComb | 2022 State MS is a player that will rise through the rankings extremely quickly. He is a Power 5 player who will continue to add offers as the year progresses.
Jackson Taylor Jackson Taylor 6'5" | 325 lbs | OL West Lincoln | 2022 State MS | OL/DL | West Lincoln
At 6’5″ 308, Jackson Taylor Jackson Taylor 6'5" | 325 lbs | OL West Lincoln | 2022 State MS anchors the offensive line at right tackle and the defensive line at defensive tackle. Taylor never comes off the field, but has the endurance to preform at a high level. On the offensive side of the ball, Taylor is another nasty run blocker. He has good knee bend and can get in and out of his stance well. His upper body is very strong and he uses his strength to punish defenders. Taylor plays with an edge and finishes his blocks through the whistle. A technically sound player, it is clear that Taylor is well coached. He makes few mistakes with assignment in the run game and knows who to go after. On the defensive side of the ball, Taylor is a giant gap filler capable of taking on and splitting double teams. As a pass rusher, he moves the pocket well and can dominate guards inside. With improvements in his flexibility and initial twitch, Jackson Taylor Jackson Taylor 6'5" | 325 lbs | OL West Lincoln | 2022 State MS ’s best ball is ahead of him.
Peyton Anderson Peyton Anderson 6'3" | 190 lbs | LB Columbia | 2022 State MS | OLB | Columbia
At 6’4″ 190, Peyton Anderson Peyton Anderson 6'3" | 190 lbs | LB Columbia | 2022 State MS is a standout player at outside linebacker. While his teammate Jaheim Oatis Jaheim Oatis 6'4" | 345 lbs | DL Columbia | 2022 State MS has gotten a lot of attention in the recruiting world, it is a shocker that Anderson hasn’t yet. Anderson is a twitchy and athletic backer who uses his length to his advantage. He uses good technique to stack and shed blockers in order to make a tackle. A heavy hitter, Anderson brings it all on each tackle. He closes well on contact and uses fundamental wrap technique to bring the ball carrier down. Although he has a narrow frame right now, Anderson is strong and can push offensive lineman around. With his speed, he is capable of running sideline to sideline on chase downs. Columbia currently uses him in an outside rush role, but I would be interested in seeing him play in space. With his speed and length, Anderson could also project as an inside backer. While he may not have offers right now, it would not surprise me if he started picking up some stuff as the year progresses.
