Cole Hentges Cole Hentges 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Sartell-St. Stephen | 2023 State MN , QB, Sartell (MN) (2023)
Hentges is a quarterback prospect I am no stranger to being from near my neck of the woods. I have always been a fan of how quickly Hentges gets the ball out of his hands on any throw he makes deep or short. His mobility is beyond his years as he is one of the best at extending plays in the St. Cloud area with his legs and can still make an accurate throw on the run. If you are a defense, Hentges is not one you want to leave with too much time as his deep ball is as solid as they come. I’ll say it again, the way this kid leads his offensive unit as just a sophomore is something you want on your college roster.
Joel Akers, OL, Winterset (IA) (2022)
Akers is a defined bully on the Winterset offensive line. Akers does a fantastic job getting strong leverage on his defender with his 6’1, 285-pound frame. I like Akers versatility on the line, as he can work pull blocks to his advantage and is a good combo lineman that can finish guys off with strong punches but can also keep his man in close in front of him to get his quarterback some extra time.
Brock Lutterman Brock Lutterman 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB Fairmont | 2023 MN , WR/DB, Fairmont (MN) (2023)
Lutterman’s ability to show off some strong range of motion with his catching ability was superb to watch on tape. Lutterman is a prospect that uses the jets when he needs them to his advantage. I am a big fan of this kid’s versatility on the offensive side of the ball. Has good feet for a sophomore on stop routes. Defensively, his ability to be one step ahead in coverage. Lutterman is a prospect in my eyes that plays much bigger than his 5’10 size.
Naz Easter, DB/ATH, Troup County (GA) (2022)
The first thing I loved about Easter’s film was his quick-twitch on his ball instincts. Easter also does a fine job of being an extremely physical tackler that too is not afraid to move into the first level of coverage. Speaking of coverage, Easter’s ability to turn his hips quickly to get his head around on deep throws is what makes this kid a standout. In my eyes, a Divison I prospect coming out of Southwest Georgia.
Gulius Jones Gulius Jones 5'9" | 170 lbs | DB Delasalle | 2023 State MN , RB/DB, DeLaSalle (MN) (2023)
Gulius’s brother Gerald was one of my standouts defensively at our Prep Redzone MN Showcase. As a tailback, Jones does a nice job of getting off contact despite not being the biggest tailback (5’8 170) you’ll ever see. Gulius comes off as one of those sneaky tailbacks that runs on the inside lane that has the power in his legs to sneak out of the pile for quite a few extra yards. Defensively, I think Jones doe a nice job dipping into that first level to make a play but could develop more strength as a physical tackler at that position.
