Team Take Over is one of the up and coming 7 on 7 teams that is located in the St. Louis area. This team is loaded with extremely young, talented individuals who know how to ball. At the tournament, these players made top notched plays that stood out.
QB Caron Spann
St. Mary’s High School
c/o 22
Spann is the real deal quarterback in St. Louis. He has tremendous accuracy in his throws and can throw it deep down field. Not only Spann can throw the ball very well, he can also beat defenses with his feet. He’s not your ordinary quarterback who just stays in the pocket. The kid has great footwork, and he is capable of making people miss. Spann was a huge asset for Team Takeover in the tournament. He made great throws, and one of them led to a touchdown.
WR Amorion Oliphant
Duschene High School
c/o 23
Oliphant played as a major key factor in the tournament. The 5’9,180 lbs receiver is the real definition of an athlete. Oliphant is a major deep threat. He may not be six foot, but he is able to go up and snag the ball no matter who’s at the corner position. Oliphant can also make great catches in tight spaces. This is what makes him stand out amongst all receivers in the state. He is also fast and aggressive off the line when he run blocks. Oliphant made a couple great catches in at the tournament, going up for the ball and bringing it down in the end zone. He is one of the receivers to look out for next season.
QB Byron McNair
DeSmet High School
c/o 23
McNair isn’t titled “the Sniper” for no reason. The kid is gifted with accuracy. McNair has great patience in the pocket, and is able to land his target wherever the receiver is located on the field. He also has great intelligence and can read the field from left to right. McNair is a field general who knows what to do under pressure, and he never folds. The sophomore quarterback threw a couple miraculous throws at the Pylon tournament as well, all of them leading to touchdowns.
RB Cyril Ikeh
St. Mary’s High School
c/o 23
Ikeh also made some outstanding plays at the Pylon tournament, making a great catch in the end zone. Ikeh is a very fast and elusive back, and he can also catch like a receiver. He has great patience when running the ball, and he knows how to hit the hole. Ikeh is a hard runner and has great footwork causing defenders to look silly while attempting to tackle him. Be sure to look out for him in the up coming season.
