Prescott is a team that finished with a 10-1 record last season and are looking to earn a state championship this season. The Curley Wolves are a loaded team going into the 2021 season. We are going to take a look at some of the senior leadership returning for the Curley Wolves in this article.
Jaylen Hopson Jaylen Hopson 5'7" | 160 lbs | RB Prescott | 2022 State AR -Running Back
The Prescott rushing attack will lean heavily on Jaylen Hopson Jaylen Hopson 5'7" | 160 lbs | RB Prescott | 2022 State AR this season. Hopson has excellent speed and is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He can line up at the running back and wide receiver positions. However, Hopson can also return kicks and punts and create explosive plays in that fashion. In 2020, Hopson rushed for 900 yards and 15 touchdowns. Hopson has earned two scholarship offers and has the potential to rack up some more over the next few months. Both Hopson and Prescott have the potential to have huge seasons.
Jaycaylon Zachery-Athlete
Zachery is one player that gives the Curley Wolves on both sides of the field. He is an electric wide receiver that does a great job of stretching the field with his speed. Last season, Zachery racked up 647 receiving yards and scored 11 touchdowns. Zachery gives the Curley Wolves a player that can stretch the field with the use of the passing game. What stands out is the versatility that Zachery displays. The young man is four sport athlete, and he excels at everyone of them. He is going to be a player to watch this summer and fall and he has the potential to have a huge season for the Curley Wolves.
Caleb Harris Caleb Harris 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE Prescott | 2022 State AR -Tight End
Caleb Harris Caleb Harris 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE Prescott | 2022 State AR is the very definition of a red zone threat. Harris does a fantastic job of using his 6-4 frame well to overpower defensive backs and linebackers to haul in receptions. He racked up 400 receiving yards and went on to tack on nine touchdowns last season. Harris has the potential to have an even bigger season in 2021. The multisport athlete has earned four scholarship offers going into this season and he has a terrific opportunity to earn some more offers over the next few months. Harris is going to keep the opposing defenses honest, and this should be an impressive season for the Curley Wolves tight end.
Jason Patrick-Linebacker
Patrick is a tackling machine for the Prescott Curley Wolves. In 2020, Patrick had 116 tackles on the season, and he has the potential to increase that number this season. Patrick plays with great intensity and he is always around the football. The Curley Wolves linebacker does not miss tackles, he does an excellent job of wrapping up the ball carrier. The game speed that Patrick plays with is impressive and he is going to be a player that scouts will want to keep an eye on this season. Anytime a defensive player can live in an opponent’s backfield like Patrick does it is a good idea to keep an eye on him.
Omarion Dickens Omarion Dickens 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB Prescott | 2022 State AR -Defensive Back
Dickens is a defensive back that can lock down the receiver he is covering. He is a defensive back that does a good job using his speed to stick with the opposing wide receiver. In 2020, Dickens racked up 19 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble. Dickens has already earned a scholarship offer from the Kansas Jayhawks and he will have the opportunity to earn more over the next few months. If his seven-on-seven play is any indication he will have some more offers coming in soon. The Prescott defense is going to be something to watch in 2021 with Dickens patrolling the secondary.
