Talon Betts, RB, Rochester HS (C/O 2022)
Betts took 18 carries for 231 yards and 4 TD’s on the ground, while adding another TD receiving to help Rochester beat Centralia 40-34. He also had a big KR as well. He displayed solid vision and did an excellent job reading and cutting off his blocks. He had an impressive 30 yard screen he took for a TD where he made about 3 opponents miss to take it to the house. Big 5 TD week for Betts and he’ll look to have another big performance next week.
Ziere Ford, RB, Puyallup HS (C/O 2022)
Following a 5 TD week, Ford put up another big performance with 163 yards and 2 TD’s on the ground to blowout Lakes 44-16. He is showing signs of being a legit all-purpose back and will only continue to get better. Not the biggest kid at 5’7″ 195lbs, but plays big and runs between the tackles with excellent physicality and a solid pad level. Finishes runs well and also flashes the ability be an effective blocker in pass pro. Solid lateral mobility with a nice burst out of his cuts.
Austin Charters, QB, Columbia HS (C/O 2021)
Charters ran for 154 yards and 2 TD’s on the 39-12 victory over Fort Vancouver. Charters possesses solid speed all around and is a big play threat every time he takes off. He does a great job with read options, consistently making the right pull reads with a good mesh point. Big time threat on his feet and will continue to put up big numbers throughout the season.
Hayden Baker, FB, Forks HS (C/O 2021)
Baker rushed for 136 yards and 4 TD’s on the day. He’s a hard, downhill runner that runs through opponents. Excellent physicality all across the board and loves contact. One of the most clutch goal line backs as he had a nose for the endzone. Baker brings the fullback position back to life for Forks.
Marshall Haight, FB, Onalaska HS (C/O 2022)
Haight was an absolute workhorse as he ran for 216 yards on 32 carries. Although he was unable to find the endzone, he proved to be a monster between the tackles. He can wear down a defense and play old school football. Tough kid all around and a definite workhorse.
