last week during a 7v7 tournament with Sooner7 and we continue to be impressed with his game every time we see him. This weekend, Irvin-Fisher took his game to the next level and played the ironman role as he played for Sooner7’s 15U team as well as the Sooner7 ’23 18U squad. Not only did he play twice as many games as nearly every other athlete in the tournament, he also played on both sides of the ball. It’s not a stretch to say that Irvin-Fisher played more snaps than any other player in the tournament field, which featured over 60 teams. Let that sink in for a moment. Irvin-Fisher had a strong showing on the defensive side of the ball as a linebacker but once again he was at his best on offense as a tight end. For Sooner7 ’23, Irvin-Fisher was so consistent when they would get close to the end zone. When the play would break down, they could always rely on Irvin-Fisher to make his way to an opening to make a big catch. As Sooner7 ’23 made a run to the championship game, it was Irvin-Fisher who came up big in several spots that kept their championship run alive. Irvin-Fisher had to be a candidate for this list based on just the amount of time he spent on the field. But he also made the most of it by making plays.

, who was one of two quarterbacks for Sooner7’s 15U team. We saw a lot of this team early on in pool play on Saturday morning and Younger certainly looks the part of a prototypical pocket passer. He’s tall, has a good arm and can fit the ball into windows that most freshmen aren’t ready for. We were really impressed with both quarterbacks from the 15U team but Younger is already in high school and has a chance to develop into a really big athlete. Younger showcased his ability to throw on the run. And more impressive than that was the fact that he would roll to the left and as a right-handed quarterback, he didn’t lose much accuracy on those throws. This was our first time seeing Younger and while he’s not a polished product right now, this weekend was a good breakout performance for him and we’re looking forward to seeing how he grows from here.

before last weekend and after watching him compete and perform over the two-day stretch in Broken Arrow, we’re convinced he’s primed for a breakout season for Bixby this fall. Newkirk is a long and athletic freak and showed it on offense and defense. He was a home run threat at the receiver position and he was playing man to man press coverage at cornerback on defense. Newkirk is certainly a player that we want to watch more of this spring because as of right now, it appears that the sky is the limit. And we’re still not sure what his natural position is! He played outstanding on both sides of the ball.

. He just simply doesn’t look like a sophomore in high school. That was the first thing that stood out to us. We want to see more on the field from Cole, whether it’s on offense or defense. But he was a name that we circled coming away from this weekend’s event as one to watch over the next few months.

. We knew about Ferrell coming into the weekend but he was one of the few examples where he looked bigger than what we’ve seen film of. Ferrell was outstanding on both sides of the ball for Sooner7’s 15U squad. Similar to
