Roger Bingham, Vista del Lago, 2022
Bingham is a solid receiver and cornerback hybrid who is a good athlete. He is good in man coverage and his abilities as a receiver make offensive coordinators think twice about throwing in his direction. Bingham had three interceptions in Vista del Lago’s 27-7 win over Citrus Hill.
Shoes Brinkley Shoes Brinkley 5'9" | 185 lbs | ATH Mater Dei | 2021 State CA , Mater Dei, 2021
Brinkley is one of the rare uncommitted Mater Dei seniors but it’s not because he isn’t worthy of playing at the next level. He is an undersized defensive back around 5-foot-9 and under 185 pounds but has very good speed and football instincts. He had a big interception for the Monarchs in a win over Orange Lutheran. Brinkley holds 22 offers including Cincinnati, Hawaii, Liberty and Nevada.

Jake East, Agoura, 2022
East is a really under the radar athlete who is one of the best players on the Agoura football team and a lacrosse star at the school as well. In Agoura’s win against Royal, he had 12 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions including one he returned for a touchdown and a forced fumble. He is a 4.1 GPA student and decent sized at 6-feet and around 185 pounds. I expect him to get some recruiting attention this summer.

Drew Faulkner, Western, 2023
Western’s defense has been outstanding all season and when you look at the stat sheet it really is a group effort. Faulkner is arguably the best athlete on the Western team and one of the best sophomores in Orange County. He had an interception that he returned 102 yards for a touchdown in Western’s win over Savanna (Anaheim). Western recently sent Cassius and Caine Savage to Division 1 schools and Faulkner is filling in their shoes nicely as a jack-of-all-trades athlete.
Drew Faulkner talks about his 102-yard INT return (which he did with one shoe). Great performance by the sophomore! @V1Drew @westernpioneer1 pic.twitter.com/vkGUZo03pG

Zac Sheets, Nordhoff, 2022
Sheets is one of those guys that any coach would love to have on their team. He is a linebacker and safety hybrid who is versatile and can play in any scheme. He was first team All-County in Ventura last season. Sheets had 19 tackles and 14 solo tackles in Nordhoff’s 50-14 win over Carpenteria. He is under-recruited right now but he is a guy to keep an eye on.
Derek Wilkins Derek Wilkins 6'4" | 255 lbs | DL Santa Margarita Catholic | 2021 State CA , Santa Margarita, 2021
Wilkins is already signed with Cal but decided to stay at Santa Margarita for the spring season and is making a huge impact. He had four tackles from the defensive end spot and a sack for a loss of 14 yards in the Eagles’ rout of JSerra. His strength is his athleticism because he can play sideline-to-sideline like a linebacker from the defensive line position. He is a big reason Santa Margarita is competing in the Trinity League this season.
DL Derek Wilkins, a Cal signee, is playing for Santa Margarita this spring. Watch out Trinity League QBs. A sack machine.
