There were some great teams, with loaded talent, going head-to-head against each other. Week two is now underway, and there are some exciting match ups approaching this weekend. Here are some players that are destined to have a field day.
RB Isaiah Harris Isaiah Harris 5'8" | 170 lbs | WR University City | 2022 MO
University City
C/o 22
Although the Lions took a hard lost to Hazelwood East, Harris had put on a show last week. He ran for 23 yards and helped out a lot on the receiving side, catching for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Harris also played a huge part in being a pass blocker. He was fast and aggressive all over the field, running jet sweeps and screen passes. Harris is one player to look out for as they go up against Jennings High School under the lights tonight.
LB Nolan Cobbs Jr.
Pattonville High School
C/o 21
The Pirates are off to a great start, and Cobbs had put in a lot of work on defense this past weekend. The senior linebacker was all over the field, pursuing to the ball. Cobbs had the most tackles on the team last weekend, collecting a total of 13 solo tackles. Two of them were for a loss of yards. He was extremely aggressive towards the offense. Cobbs is also good at reading the offense and tracking the run. His instincts and athleticism causes him to clog any hole and disrupt the play. He will have a great game against Hazelwood East on Friday.
WR/DB Billy Hall
Ritenour High School
C/o 24
The young freshman made a statement at the jamboree on March 6. Hall plays aggressive on defense. He is also one of the players that will be first to the person with the ball. Hall knows how to read the offense really well as a freshman. He can be very beneficial on offense as well. His skills will be tested against a powerhouse Hazelwood Central Hawks team on Friday.
RB Tajai Lopes
Carnahan High School
C/o 22
There are some players deep in the city of St. Louis that don’t get enough recognition, and Lopes is one of those hidden gems. He is a hard, downhill, power back with tremendous strength. Last weekend, the 6’2 265 lbs running back rushed for 141 yards and scored a touchdown. This weekend will be a great game for him against Vashon. Lopes will also soon have a lot of attention from college scouts.
