The Quarterback.

A general in his own right while on the football field, someone who can orchestrate an offense with the physical and mental ability to make dynamic plays happen throughout four quarters of a game.

The ability to have the arm strength and accuracy to place the ball over great distances and into the hands of the receiver, who is sometimes heavily covered by an opposing defensive player.

The quarterback position has evolved over the years, starting to see more of a dynamic athlete behind center with having the ability to make throws from different arm angles and outside the pocket with accuracy and touch on them to make explosive plays.

Let’s take a look at five 2022 quarterbacks from the state of New Jersey!

Steve Angeli 6-3 215 Bergen Catholic High School

This dynamic gunslinger (and Notre Dame commit) has a tight compact release and gets the ball out quickly to his receivers in tight windows. He has good awareness and allows his receivers to create separation downfield which enables him to make key throws on the run. Has a strong arm to make different throws from all spots of the field with confindace and accuracy.

Kai Colon 6-3 210 Paramus Catholic High School This quarterback finds a way to make a BIG play, the awareness and having the accuracy to place the ball in tight coverage while not rushing his delivery.
