Nason Coleman Nason Coleman 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE Chandler | 2022 State AZ is a 6-3, 230 pound senior to be who plays for Head Coach Rick Garretson at Chandler High School. The Wolves were ranked number one in the state as Arizona State Champions last fall. A native of Hawaii, Nason caught 14 passes for 18 receiving yards per catch as a sophomore as Chandler went 13-0. He missed all of his junior season, suffering a torn ACL on the second day of practice. He is considered a vertical passing threat with excellent hands.
Ready now to play as a senior in 2021, Nason has already had double-digit scholarship offers from these colleges: Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Colorado State, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Nebraska, Utah, Iowa State, New Mexico, Central Florida, UNLV, and Wisconsin. The three-star recruit is considered the number one ranked tight end in the state for the class of 2022.
Tyler Powell Tyler Powell 6'7" | 240 lbs | TE Brophy Prep | 2022 State AZ is a 6-7, 240-pound tight end for Brophy Prep in Phoenix. He is also a pitcher on the baseball team and until his junior year, played basketball as well. His father, Jeremy, played professional baseball and is now a coach in the Miami Marlins minor league system. He has a 3.9 GPA this year and a 3.6 cumulated GPA. He is ranked #42 nationally among tight ends and #10 in Arizona.
Tyler ran a 4.63 forth yard dash and is considered a good route runner with sure hands. He has added forty pounds to his frame since his sophomore season. The Broncos relied more on Tyler as a blocker this past season, rather than as a receiver, because their quarterback was injured in the first quarter of their first game. He is EJ Warner EJ Warner 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Brophy Prep | 2022 State AZ , the son of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback, Kurt Warner.
Tyler is approaching double-digit offers from colleges while still a junior. Offers have come from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Florida State, Idaho, UCLA, Iowa State, New Mexico State, and UNLV. He remains open to each offer and has not committed to a specific college.
Michael Masunas Michael Masunas 6'5" | 250 lbs | TE Hamilton | 2022 State AZ is a 6-5, 235-pound tight end and defensive end for Hamilton High School in Chandler. He is the second-ranked tight end for the class of 2022 in Arizona. In February of 2020. he transferred from Sabino High school to Hamilton. Michael was Player of the Game in Hamilton’s rout of Salpointe Catholic, 58-14, last December. He was also Special Teams Player of the Game the week before as Hamilton beat Corona del Sol, 50-0. In addition, in 2019, he was defensive Player of the Game and then Special Teams Player of the Game while at Sabino High School.
Michael is also a pitcher on the baseball team and his fastball has been clocked at 104 mph. He also can deadlift 455 pounds seven times and has a wingspan of 6 feet, 10 inches. His 40 yard dash time is 4.71 and he has a GPA of 4.16. He was recently a member of the USA National Team, has been invited to the Under Armour All-America Camp, and helped his team win a 7 on 7 competition in New Orleans.
Michael makes the tough catches, has soft hands, and is extremely good at making catches over the middle of the field. As a junior, he already has scholarship offers from Maryland, Florida State, Northern Arizona, the University of Pennsylvania, San Diego State, and New Mexico.
Cooper Ross Cooper Ross 6'5" | 245 lbs | TE Heritage Academy | 2022 State AZ is a 6-6, 240-pound tight end and defensive end for Heritage Academy in Mesa. He has helped lead Heritage to back-to-back State Championships. Cooper was his team’s MVP and All-State as both a tight end in addition to being All-State as a defensive end. He had 34 receptions for 635 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2020. He also suffers from Type 1 diabetes in which he wears an insulin pump. Cooper is a point forward on the basketball team, averaging 11.2 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game.
At Heritage, he plays for football Head Coach Jose Portilla where they play 8-man football. Heritage beat Highland Prep, 46-6, in the Canyon Athletic Association D-2 Championship game last year. Portilla is the first Mexican-born player to play in a Super Bowl. As an undrafted free agent from Arizona, he played for the Atlanta Falcons in 1998, the year they went to their first Super Bowl.
Cooper was selected as the CAA Offensive Player of the Year and has been invited to the College Coaches Showcase Camp. He also has a 4.0-grade point average. While he hasn’t received any scholarship offers to date, a number of schools have shown major interest in him. They include Columbia, Montana, New Mexico Washington University in St. Louis, New Mexico Highlands, and Sioux Falls.
Noah Baum Noah Baum 6'0" | 180 lbs | TE Snowflake | 2022 State AZ is a 6-0, 180-pound tight end from Snowflake High School. In two years of varsity competition, he had 31 receptions for 688 yards and eight touchdowns. Also a member of the Snowflake basketball team, Noah is currently averaging 9.9 points a game and 4.1 rebounds per game. Under football Head Coach Kay Solomon, the Lobos won their first state championship in 27 years last December, defeating Yuma Catholic, 38-14, in the 3A title game. It was Snowflake’s seventh state championship.
Noah had one of his best games against Thatcher High school this past October. Down 13-0, he scored on a touchdown pass reception and later scored on a blocked punt. Snowflake won the game, 17-13. A key part of the Lobos’ passing attack, Noah made the 3A All-Conference second team and led Snowflake in receptions. He was a clutch target all season.
