Continue ReadingThere have been some players in the 2022 class that have recently been seeing attention and offers from as of late. Some of them were already highly touted prospects, but others have risen up and continue to impress. Here’s a look at 5 players that have been interesting to follow in terms of their recruitment:
Jacob Newell Jacob Newell 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Thurston | 2022 State OR , TE/DE, 6’5″ 220lbs, Thurston HS ’22
Newell has seen a big spark in his recruitment the past couple weeks. Just yesterday, he picked up an offer from the University of Arizona. Then a few days ago, he picked up an offer for Army, and holds a previous offer from New Mexico. As he starts to pull in offers, I would not be surprised to see the numerous other schools that are showing him interest start to offer him very soon. He’s a very athletic kid on both sides of the ball with big potential going forward, and will only continue to impress and get better.
After a great conversation with @CoachPaopao I am so blessed and thankful to say I have received my third D1 offer and my first Pac-12 Offer from @ArizonaFBall!!!!🔵🔴🐻@thurstoncoltsfb, @mvp7on7, @BrandonHuffma pic.twitter.com/SQMKHKRbiq

Aaron Jones Aaron Jones 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Westview | 2022 State OR , ATH, 5’10″ 180lbs, Westview HS ’22
Jones has most recently picked up an offer from Navy on March 14th. He received previous offers from Air Force, UPenn, and Colorado State. His athleticism is off the charts as he can excel on both sides of the ball ad anywhere he lines up. Solid twitch and speed with good ball skills all around, and will only continue to see offers pour in. He’s still looking for that first power 5 offer, but I do believe it is in the works somewhere down the line.
Darrius Clemons Darrius Clemons 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Westview | 2022 State OR , WR, 6’3″ 195lbs, Westview HS ’22
Another Westview prospect that comes in one of the highest recruited players out there. He holds over 30 offers before his senior season, as he has the talent to step into a power 5 program and play as a freshman. Very fluid route runner that consistently generates separation. Large catch radius with excellent body control, and shows solid speed all around. He recently narrowed down his top 10 schools, which include: Notre Dame, Auburn, Oregon State, Oregon, Arizona, Stanford, USC, Penn State, Michigan, and Northwestern.

Imarion Kelly, ATH, 6’2″ 190lbs, Roosevelt HS ’22
Kelly is one of the fastest rising prospects in Oregon, and I projected this months ago as his athleticism is off the charts. He’s been playing QB, but has the natural talent and athleticism to play any skill position at the next level. Flexible, twitchy, and excellent speed with big play ability with the ball in his hands and is quickly improving as a passer as well. He can lock up WR’s as a DB and serve as a ball hawk. He’s still looking for his first offer, but I believe it should be coming very soon as he should be on everyone’s radar. He’s recently drawn big interest from Brown, Dartmouth, and Columbia.

Caleb Kim Caleb Kim 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Sunset | 2022 State OR , RB, 5’10″ 185lbs, Sunset HS ’22
Kim has been drawing serious attention from Ivy League programs as well such as Dartmouth, UPenn, Brown, and Columbia. He maintains a nice low pad level at the point of contact with solid physicality through the hole. He shows good change of direction with a nice burst when he cuts upfield. He’s been developing quickly and is showing signs of become more of a threat each week.
