Continue ReadingIt is the time of year, where the under the radar prospects tend to be exposed and have the spotlight find them. The class of 2022 has several prospects that fit this definition perfectly. The list of under the radar prospects is spread out all over the state, so folks will most likely see some names that they recognize. The prospects we name today may be under the radar at the moment, however it will not stay that way.
Christopher Collier-Surly Christopher Collier-Surly 5'8" | 185 lbs | RB Bentonville | 2022 State AR -Running Back-Bentonville
The Bentonville running back has the speed to get into the open field and create problems for the defense. Collier-Surly has displayed his 4.48 speed on numerous occasions for the Bentonville Tigers and he has proven to be a battering ram in the red zone. A facet of his game that impresses me is his receiving ability. Collier-Surly is comfortable catching the ball out of the backfield and lining up as a wide receiver for the Tigers. The Tigers have talent all over the field and Collier-Surly is going to get an opportunity to impress scouts this offseason and going into the 2021 season.
Cade Fields Cade Fields 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Fayetteville | 2022 State AR -Linebacker-Fayetteville
The Fayetteville Bulldogs have some solid players at the linebacker position and Cade Fields Cade Fields 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Fayetteville | 2022 State AR fits into the unit perfectly. The 6-1 linebacker has started to impress many in performance camps over the past few weeks. He has the quickness to be a force at the linebacker position. Fields is an impressive tackler and he does a good job wrapping the ball carrier up and bringing him down. Fields is a player that scouts are going to take a look at this season. Fayetteville has the potential to be a dangerous team this season in the 7-A West.
Darryl Kattich Darryl Kattich 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Cedarville | 2022 State AR -Running Back-Cedarville
Over the course of his career, Kattich has been terrific for the Cedarville Pirates. He has rushed for 3,518 yards and he shows no signs of slowing down. Kattich has shown that he is a patient running back. He will allow his blockers to set up the blocks before he chooses the rushing lane to burst through. Production is the name of the game for Kattich and he should have another solid season for the Pirates. The Pirates are going to be a fun team to watch this season and catching them in action is certainly worth the trip to Cedarville.
Cademon Majors-Offensive Line-Batesville Southside
One offensive lineman that has the chance to blow up from a recruiting perspective is Cademon Majors. Majors is a versatile offensive lineman, having played both the tackle and center positions along the offensive line. He is quick out of his stance and does a good job of getting into the opposing defensive linemen. Majors pass blocking is something that is extremely impressive. He has the strength to make life difficult for opposing defensive linemen and he uses his speed well. The young man has flown under the radar up until now, however I doubt he will stay that way.
Patrick Sixbey Patrick Sixbey 6'2" | 245 lbs | LB El Dorado | 2022 State AR -Linebacker-El Dorado
El Dorado has a talented roster and plenty of depth coming into the 2021 season. One of most the productive linebackers in the state calls El Dorado home. Patrick Sixbey Patrick Sixbey 6'2" | 245 lbs | LB El Dorado | 2022 State AR has been terrific the past couple of seasons for the Wildcats. Last season, Sixbey has 67 tackles, two passes defensed, and two and a half sacks. He has the potential to have an even bigger season this season. Sixbey has terrific speed and has a nose for the football. From a run stuffing perspective, he is one of the most impressive linebackers in the state. He fights off blocks well and does not have an issue getting into the opposing offensive backfield.
