Not only will you perform in front of the school coaches that host the camp, but you will also perform for other college football coaches that are in attendance. For example, Pitt football hosts a number of camps in the summer and they have MAC coaches in attendance as well as FCS coaches. If any of these coaches know who you are but still need to see more, these camps are your chance to shine. Here are 5 players who need to benefit from attending college camps this summer.
Collin Quintano Collin Quintano 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Notre Dame Green Pond | 2022 State PA (JR) Quarterback 6’2 185 – Notre Dame Green Pond HS
Collin is our 2nd ranked quarterback in the 2022 class, but he isn’t really getting noticed by schools. If he wants a chance to play at the highest level, which we believe he has FBS potential, he has to attend college camps. He is athletic but more of a pocket passer. He has a high, tight, quick release. He is pretty accurate as well, completing 61% of his passes. He threw for almost 1,900 yards and 18 touchdowns to 2 interceptions in his 2020 campaign.
Josh Barlow Josh Barlow 5'6" | 175 lbs | RB St. Joseph's Prep | 2022 State PA (JR) Running Back 5’6 175 – St. Joe’s Prep
Josh is our 3rd ranked running back and 15th overall player in the 2022 class. Because he didn’t play his junior season, it is critical for him to attend college camps going into his senior season. He’s got quickness and speed, but he needs to show coaches how much he has developed from his sophomore year before going into his senior season.
Jeremiah Hasley Jeremiah Hasley 6'3" | 225 lbs | LB Pine-Richland | 2022 State PA (JR) Linebacker 6’2 190 – Pine-Richland HS
Jeremiah has been getting some Military, FCS, and Ivy League offers this offseason, but If he wants to get any more FBS offers before his senior season, he will need to perform well at college camps. No question he is a good player, but he does show stiffness out in space and I’m sure that is what concerns FBS coaches.
Devin Whitlock Devin Whitlock 5'8" | 165 lbs | ATH Belle Vernon | 2022 State PA (JR) Athlete 5’9 160 – Belle Vernon HS
There is no question Devin is a good athletic player, but according to his Twitter, he has yet to receive an offer going into the spring of his junior year. Camp season will be a critical factor heading into his senior season. Schools need to figure out where he will fit in their systems. No question he is a playmaker with the ball in his hands, but if they are looking at him as a receiver (like we are), they need to see him lineup at that position. He already shows good ball skills, but how is his release? How is he as a route runner? How fast is he truly? Will he be able to create separation? These are the questions and more that college programs are asking and needing to see if they plan to play him at wide receiver.
Kolin Dinkins Kolin Dinkins 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB North Allegheny | 2022 State PA (JR) Defensive Back 6’1 165 – North Allegheny
Kolin does not have much junior film and that’s why he will need to attend college camps so schools can get a real good look at him. They will also want to see how he improved before entering his senior season. There are questions to be asked like is he fast enough to play corner at the next level? Do schools think he may be a safety? Kolin has potential of being a good defensive back but because of the limited film it is very important for him to attend as many college camps this summer to showcase his talent.
