This past weekend, Prep Redzone Oklahoma made it down to the Dallas area to check out more 7v7 action. Several Oklahoma teams also made the trip and we were able to watch some spectacular players in the 18U and 15U division. In this post, we break down and take a look at five standouts from the 15U division. These prospects not only had strong weekends but showed promise as we get closer to spring football in May.

– 2023 ATH – Union
(Played With Sooner 7)
A player that we’ve written multiple articles and breakdowns about is Union 2023 standout Braylen Irvin-Fisher Braylen Irvin-Fisher 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB Union | 2023 State OK . And we go into each tournament hoping to find some different prospects to write about to shine a light on as many as possible. However, Fisher continues to be one of the more consistent players that we’ve seen this offseason. We can probably count on one hand how many times Fisher has dropped a pass as he’s been an absolute rock for Sooner 7 in the passing game. However, as we’ve mentioned several times before, Fisher has only played on the defensive side of the ball for Union. We’ll be interested to see if that changes this spring and summer as Fisher has put back to back years of playing really well on the 7v7 circuit as a tight end-type prospect. Unfortunately for Fisher, this last weekend ended early as he hurt his shoulder on Saturday and missed the rest of the tourney.
Damontre Patterson
Damontre
Patterson
5'10" | 145 lbs | WR
Sulphur | 2024
State
OK
– 2024 DB – Elmore City
(Played With C4)
We wrote about this in our 18U standout post, but finding players like Elmore City’s Damontre Patterson Damontre Patterson 5'10" | 145 lbs | WR Sulphur | 2024 State OK is why we do this. It’s why we spend our weekends driving all over to see players who we don’t normally get a chance to see. Or in this case, we’ve never had a chance to see. We came away so impressed with Elmore City freshman cornerback Damontre Patterson Damontre Patterson 5'10" | 145 lbs | WR Sulphur | 2024 State OK while he was playing with the C4 15U squad. Patterson was playing cornerback throughout the tournament and was locking opponents down. And even in 1 on 1 match-up’s where he was giving up some size, Patterson was playing with such physicality and speed that it didn’t matter if he gave up a few inches. I can’t remember the last time I wrote about a prospect from Elmore City, or if I’ve ever written about one but I have no doubt that this won’t be the last time I’m writing about Patterson.
Issac Covington
Issac
Covington
5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH
Union | 2024
State
OK
– 2024 ATH – Booker T Washington
(Played With Sooner 7)
He’s already considered one of the top 2024 prospects in the state, we have him ranked as such when we put out our first batch of 2024 rankings. Booker T Washington’s Issac Covington Issac Covington 5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH Union | 2024 State OK appears to clearly be the next big time prospect to come out of the storied north Tulsa program. Covington has done nothing but continue to raise his stock this offseason, playing with Sooner 7. Whether it’s offense or defense, Covington has done it all and has been one of the top players for Sooner 7’s 15U squad during the tournament circuit. However, this past weekend, we were impressed with what we saw from Covington as a safety prospect. You can tell that even though it’s 7v7, Covington plays with a physicality that surprised some opponents. With that physicality and speed, he’s going to turn into a heat seeking missile when the helmets and pads come on.
Morgan Pearson
Morgan
Pearson
6'2" | 220 lbs | ATH
Plainview | 2023
State
OK
– 2023 WR – Plainview
(Played With C4)
Hands down the most well known prospect on this list is Plainview 2023 wide receiver Morgan Pearson Morgan Pearson 6'2" | 220 lbs | ATH Plainview | 2023 State OK . In most tournaments, Pearson is usually playing with the 18U squad but he was able to play this past weekend because he’s a young 2023 prospect as he doesn’t turn 16 until May. And that’s a scary thought when you consider the 2023 class and how big Pearson is already. The Plainview standout is already established as one of the top wide receivers in the state and that’s only going to continue over the next few seasons. While Bixby tight end Luke Hasz Luke Hasz 6'4" | TE Bixby | 2023 State OK is a few inches taller, Pearson is right there with Hasz when it comes to being a jump ball wide receiver. We’ve seen time after time the ball just get thrown up and let Pearson go climb the ladder and get it. The ball skills at the high point and the overall hand eye coordination is off the charts with this young star.
Tykie Andrews
Tykie

6'0" | WR
Enid | 2023

OK
– 2023 WR – Enid
(Played With Sooner 7)
Similar to Damontre Patterson Damontre Patterson 5'10" | 145 lbs | WR Sulphur | 2024 State OK , a lot of the same thing things can be said about our final prospect, Enid wide receiver Tykie Andrews Tykie Andrews 6'0" | WR Enid | 2023 State OK . I’ll admit that Andrews was not a player on my radar coming into this offseason. We know about a lot of guys but this is why we do these events. Andrews has been a stock riser for us over the last month or so. He has great size and showcases a good combination of that size with speed and sure hands. We want to evaluate Andrews more this spring and summer and hopefully get a chance to see him in person when the pads come on because the skill level is certainly there. But we want to see how physical he can get at that position. With his head coach at Enid being Rashaun Woods, he has a chance to really grow into that position and learn from one of the best receivers in state history.
