These last five OL I have chosen are not the last five for any reason that is negative. I would stack these five against any other OL I have written about. In fact, these five OL are some aggressive bulldozers in their respected offenses, and I know their teammates are glad to have them and not playing against them. OL are unbelievable in a lot of ways and these five are special. Colleges should be writing these kids names down and making plans to see them soon.
Josh Robinson Josh Robinson 6'5" | 260 lbs | OL Greenbrier | 2022 State AR – OL 2022 Greenbrier Panthers
Josh is a OL who stands out over most when watching him on film. His size and strength are hardly matched in most cases. Josh stands at 6’5 and weighs in at 255 pounds. Josh has tremendous get-off and he uses his hands well in pass pro. His feet are some of the best I have seen and in the run game he bulldozes most of his blocking assignments into a pancake. Josh plays like a OL should, mean! Josh plays till the whistle always looking for somebody else to block. He has great field awareness and hustle. Colleges should be putting Josh on their lists and making plans to come see him soon.
Landen Ashlin Landen Ashlin 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Cabot | 2022 State AR – OL 2022 Cabot Panthers
Landen plays Center for the Panthers and he plays this position well. Landen stands at 6’2 and weighs in at 305 pounds. Landen runs a 5.7/40 and has quick feet. Landen plays with an aggressive style that really shows on film. Landen down blocks great and he uses his hands well. During a play, Landen’s feet continue to dig, and he is always using his eyes to find someone else to block. Landen plays till the whistle. Landen is a great run blocker, and he does great in pass pro. Colleges should be making plans to see Landen this fall and defiantly have his name written down on their OL lists.
Cole Weaver- OL 2022 Southside Southerners
Cole stands at 5’11 and weighs in at 220 pounds. However, Cole plays much bigger. He has a mean streak in him when playing OL and plays the position great. Cole has tremendous get-off, and at the snap he is driving his feet till the whistle blocking his man. Cole is incredibly good at down blocking and he pancakes most of his blocking assignments. Cole can block in pass pro well, uses his hands and feet great. I cannot stress how aggressive Cole plays and it shows on film. Colleges should be writing down this young man’s name and making plans to see him play this Fall. Cole will be an asset to any college football program.
Hunter Smith Hunter Smith 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Joe T. Robinson | 2021 State AR – OL 2023 Stuttgart Ricebirds
Hunter is only a Junior this season, but he had a great sophomore year. Hunter stands at 6’3 and weighs in at 205 pounds. Hunter has a lot of strength and it shows on film. He blocks well in pass pro using his feet and hands correctly. Hunter fires off the ball great getting low and plowing lanes. He plays aggressively to the whistle. Hunter has a lot of potential and will make some heads turn this Fall. Colleges should be watching this kid closely the next two seasons because I believe the best is yet to come.
Giovanni Almaraz- OL 2023 Springdale Bulldogs
Giovanni is a Junior who plays like a Senior. On film, his attributes are some of the best I have seen. Giovanni stands at 6’1 and weighs in at 305 pounds. Giovanni is a super bulldozer who plows and pancakes everything in his way. Giovanni is a DL coach’s worst nightmare. Giovanni pulls great using good speed, field awareness, and strength to get his assignment blocked. He blocks well in pass pro using his feet and hands correctly. Giovanni blocks aggressively from snap to whistle. Only being a Junior, the sky is truly the limit, and I am extremely excited to see what Giovanni does this Fall. Colleges better start making plans to see this kid play this Fall and have his name on every OL list they have.
