The top players in the region displayed great skills on the field last season.
Jackson Lovvorn | 6-1 QB, DB | Woodland HS
Lovvorn exceled last season on defense. He is a great defensive back that has great hands and can stay stride for stride with receivers. Lovvorn knows his assignments before the play is snapped and can knock down any pass that a receiver is trying to catch.
The incoming senior has great speed and rarely gets beat in the deep attack.
Parker Woodham | 5-8 RB, OLB | Woodland HS
Woodham led Region 5 last season in rushing with 1,151 yards and 16 touchdowns. At running back, the incoming senior has great power and quick feet to his game. He rarely loses the ball and only had two fumbles last season.
Woodham is a great north-south runner that can power his way through the defense for extended yards.
Jemareo Clegg | 6-4 QB | Winterboro HS
Clegg is a sensational quarterback that possesses great arm strength. He excels at making the right reads and knows when to throw the ball away when under pressure.
Clegg can also attack defenses with his legs and can scramble for first downs on any play.
Chance Dandridge | 5-10 CB | Winterboro HS
Dandridge is a great cornerback that can go stride for stride with receivers. He’s great at breaking up passes and rarely gets beat off the line of scrimmage.
The incoming senior cornerback could have a big year in 2021.
Jacob Barber | WR | Wadley HS
Barber had an exceptional junior season for Wadley.
Upon observation, Barber is quick off the line of scrimmage and can beat defenders deep. The incoming senior will be one of the top receivers in Region 10 this season.
Joseph Freeman | 5-10 G, DE | Wadley HS
Freeman is a terrific lineman that has great size and quick hands. On offense, he is great at opening lanes for the running game and can protect his quarterback from being pressured. At 5’10”, 220 pounds, the incoming senior will be a talent to watch in 2021.
Logan Barrett | 5-11 TE, DE | Woodland HS
Barrett excels on both sides of the ball. When he is playing tight end, Barrett has great hands to haul in passes but is even better as a blocker. He can open up holes in the running game while keeping defenders at a standstill. On defense, the 170 pound incoming senior is great at working past offensive linemen to get pressure in the backfield.
