The initial 6 game season was hindered by uncertainty, a county- wide cancellation in week one, and declined participation; but was completed successfully. Several athletes who already held college scholarships chose to opt-out of their senior year, but this gave many other players the opportunity to step into the spotlight. Perhaps the success of a spring season might be a sign of things to come in the state of Maryland moving forward, similar to our southern counterparts. In the meantime, here is a list of some of the top players in the county.
Defensive Line
Tim Welch
New Town High School
6’5’’ 270
Welch was a dominating force for the Titans defensive line ,and was a leader on what was arguably the county’s best defensive line.
Raheem Olalekan
New Town High School
6’4’’ 270
Olalekan help lead the Titans to a 4-1 season.
Daquan Stevenson
Woodlawn High School
6’1’’ 290
Stevenson is one of the more dominant interior defensive linemen in the county. Had numerous Tackle For Losses and spearheaded on of the county’s toughest defenses.
Malik Agent
Franklin High School
6’2’’ 205
Agent had a break out year and will be a force to reckon with for the Indians in the fall. The Junior defensive end was a constant force coming off of the edge.
Linebackers
Marcus Harris
Woodlawn High School
6’3’’ 200
Harris had of the more dominating performances this season. The Junior linebacker has the speed to cover receivers in space and comes downhill with bad intentions.
Yasir Talib-Harrison
Parkville High School
6’1’’ 240
Talib-Harrison was a big part of a Parkville defenses that dominated opposing teams and finished with an undefeated season.
Amir Renwick Amir Renwick 6'1" | 200 lbs | DB Woodlawn | 2021 State MD
Milford Mill Academy
6’2’’ 200
Renwick was an essential part of Milford’s defense and offensive attack. He was one of the county’s best overall players and imposed his will on both sides of the ball.

Gainer’s ball hawking skills made it a problem for opposing offenses to throw the ball.

Marks is physical corner who can cover and make the big hit.
Jumar Hines Jumar Hines 6'0" | DB Dulaney | 2021 State MD
New Town High School
6’ 180
Hines has great cover speed and cover skills. He help add to what is considered one of the best secondaries in the county.
Micah Lowry
Franklin High School
5’10’’ 165
Lowry is a multi-sport athlete who has the ability to contribute on both sides of the ball.
