Quarterbacks
Sean Yamada Sherwood – Sherwood’s offense was a big surprise to many as they were very dynamic and put up a lot of points against some of the county’s top defenses. Yamada had a big breakout campaign and led Sherwood to a very successful season.
Will Gardner Walter Johnson- Gardner was an unknown coming into the season. Gardner impressed in Walter Johnson’s spread offense as he made all the throws he needed to thus proving he is one of the top quarterbacks in the county.
Running Backs
Erik Howard Rockville- Howard was one of the biggest surprises of the season. Howard broke out and put up insane numbers in just 2 games. He proved to be a star and expect him to be even better in the fall when he has a full season to work with.
Jeremiah White Jeremiah White 5'9" | 195 lbs | RB Quince Orchard | 2021 MD Quince Orchard- White is one of the most physically gifted players in the county. White has it all he has speed, size, and strength. White’s talent was on display as he played a big role in QO’s offense.
Wide Receivers
Jalen Clyatt Jalen Clyatt 6'4" | 200 lbs | DB Sherwood | 2021 State MD Sherwood – Clyatt is more known for his defense but he was a big weapon on the offensive end for Sherwood. Clyatt is an explosive player on the offensive end and proved to be a key target for Yamada.
Josh Pilarski Churchill – Pilarski had a big season. Pilarski would make special plays that you would expect to see on Sportscenter, not on a Friday night. Pilarski was a big reason why Churchill’s passing attack was as formidable as it was.
Jose Cabrera Walter Johnson – Cabrera was never the focal point of Walter Johnson but he always would find ways to make plays and help them move the ball. This season was no exception as he made big plays and helped his team put the ball in the end zone.
Offensive Line
William Leatherwood Quince Orchard – Leatherwood a transfer from Good Counsel came to Quince Orchard expecting to be a big piece of their offensive line and he did just that. Leatherwood has the size and the skill to play on the inside and on the outside.
Connor McDonald Quince Orchard – McDonald is one of if not the best lineman in the whole county. He has NFL size and he still has his senior season coming up this fall. He is dominant and don’t expect that to change in the fall.
Claudius Bityeki Kennedy – Bityeki was a senior captain for Kennedy. He is a big lineman that finishes his blocks and uses his size and strength to overpower defenders.
Zachary Anderson Quince Orchard – Quince Orchard has by far the best line in the county and Anderson is no exception. Anderson has played center, guard, and tackle. He is only a sophomore and will hopefully have two full fall seasons to continue to improve.
Willard Adjah-Provencal Magruder – Adjag-Provencal is a two-way star but he is a very good offensive lineman. He is physical and violent which are two qualities college coaches drool over.
Dante Thompson Quince Orchard – Another Quince Orchard lineman with great size. Thompson also has great mobility and is a fantastic pulling guard.
Athletes
Octavian Smith Octavian Smith 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Paint Branch | 2022 State MD Paint Branch – Smith was a two-way player playing both quarterback and cornerback. Smith would make plays with his arms legs and his hands. He is a true all-around athlete and will continue to be an impact player for some Paint Branch next yr.
BJ Howard BJ Howard 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Northwest | 2021 State MD Northwest- Howard like smith is another two-way player playing both quarterback and defensive back. Howard was an explosive player on the offensive end as he was a big part of Northwest’s offense.
