Brendan Anderson Brendan Anderson 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Mountain Ridge | 2023 State AZ , QB, 2023, Mountain Ridge
Anderson has a wide skillset with a lot of different tools to build on. He’s a smooth athlete that shows he can work quickly and efficiently around the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield for an open target. He’s a natural passer and colleges will love his ability to throw off platform and from various arm angles without sacrificing accuracy or velocity. Good ability to extend the play and create open throwing lanes around pressure. Ball comes out with a tight trajectory and he shows a good understanding of mixing up velocities to throw a catchable ball. High academic prospect, Yale was the first school to offer him.
Alex Doost Alex Doost 6'6" | 310 lbs | OL Mountain Ridge | 2023 State AZ , OL, 2023, Mountain Ridge
Ideal size and frame at 6’6” 300 lbs. with plus athleticism. He moves extremely well for his size with good lateral agility and short area quickness. He’s strong and powerful at the POA driving his legs through contact and knows how to finish. His natural strength gives him a strong initial punch with good extension. His hands are quick and does a good job snaping right out of his stance. Understands how to use his leverage and shows sound fundamentals and technique. He’s able to latch on and sustain his blocks showing he can consistently win 1v1 matchups against top level talent. Has great upside and potential as a D1 recruit. In-state ASU was the first to offer and he’s just scratching the surface of his potential.
Lenox Lawson Lenox Lawson 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB Red Mountain | 2023 State AZ , ATH, 2023, Red Mountain
Versatile athlete that can impact the game in a variety of ways by lining at RB, WR, DB, or returner. He’s an explosive playmaker that is electric with the ball in his hands. He’s quick and shifty in the open field and flashes great acceleration/burst out his cuts to run by or around defenders. Not a big guy but possesses a large catch radius that can extend outside of his framework using good body control and coordination. Southern Utah was the first to offer him but he’s young and developing into a quality D1 recruit.
Elijah Rushing Elijah Rushing 6'6" | 255 lbs | DL Salpointe Catholic | 2024 State AZ , DE, 2024, Salpointe Catholic
As a freshman, he’s already growing into his D1 frame at 6’4” 215 lbs. Lots of room to add weight without sacrificing speed, athleticism, or mobility. Possesses a rare combination of size and speed for his age that could launch him into a national recruit. He’s extremely disruptive from the DE spot with his quick and explosive first step that allows him to gain positional leverage before the play develops. Flashes great bend, flexibility, and leverage to work around the edge or turn the corner. Efficient hand placement and usage, he shows good strength to get separation to keep blockers off him and away from his body. Love his ability to rush the passer and bat down balls at the LOS. ASU was also the first to offer him but will be a double digit D1 offer prospect before long.
Rudy Varela Rudy Varela 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Casteel | 2022 State AZ , OL, 2022, Casteel
Good size for a D1 interior offensive lineman at 6’4” 285 lbs. He’s quick and explosive off the ball with a flat back and good leverage out of his stance. Flashes good quickness in his ability to transition from snap to engaging. Good overall athleticism, he’s mobile and shows good bend/flexibility in the hips and ankles. Possesses a strong punch and is violent at the POA, does a good job dipping his hips and striking with force upon contact. As a center, he’s smart and understands where pressure is coming from in different defensive fronts. Navy was the first to offer, wouldn’t be surprised to see the other two military academies to come in soon followed by additional D1 programs.
