Jarel Williams Jarel Williams 6'3" | 175 lbs | WR Saraland | 2022 State AL | Saraland
The Saraland star is a recent West Virginia commit, as the Mountaineers secured his verbal over a whole host of other Power 5 schools. Williams caught 44 passes for 800 yards during his junior campaign with versatility on the boundary and in the slot. Elite length is present but doesn’t overtake his speed and athletic ability. Nifty route runner with sneaky cutting ability. Potential to be a man to man matchup nightmare wherever he lines up. Impressive tape but room for growth due to sheer potential he has physically. Huge projection for Williams as he carries the tab currently as the top WR in the state in our rankings.
Marquarius White Marquarius White 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Clay-Chalkville | 2022 State AL | Clay-Chalkville
The offer sheet for White continues to get deeper and deeper as his final spring practice term has arrived. White projects as a true slot WR who dominates athletically and simply needs the football in his hands however you can get it there. Special teams as well as run game value is present. On the shorter end physically with room to thicken up frame. Track speedster with 100m times clocked under 11 seconds.Long strider with burst. Outstanding ball skills considering his height. Will want to add weight/muscle from a durability standpoint at the next level but is poised for success due to athletic ability online.
De’Andre Coleman | Hueytown
Well built possession style receiver who has Power 5 offers currently. Not a burner but enough speed to win technically. Good body control and vision of the field. Knows where to sit down and how to work to get open. Very natural feel for the game that translates from a versatility standpoint into the offense nicely. Appears to have high football IQ and lead. Interesting prospect to keep tabs on as the 2021 season gets closer.
Jaylen Ward Jaylen Ward 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Thompson | 2022 State AL | Thompson
Ward is another prospect receiving Power 5 offers and interest as he becomes a huge part of one of the top offenses in the state. Speed and size combo to sustain success and be durable in the slot at the next level. Above average speed with an extra gear into the open field. Impressive hands and ball skills. Crisp in route running ability with potential to be dynamic in that area. Fires off the football with strength when needed. Ward is a fun watch – no doubt. I wouldn’t be shocked if he became the top WR prospect in the state over the next 6 months.
Jordan McCants Jordan McCants 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Clay-Chalkville | 2022 State AL | Clay-Chalkville
McCants adds to what could be the top WR corp in the state for the upcoming year at Clay-Chalkville. A bit of a size concern is present although McCants looks like he is ready to add to his frame. Above average straight line speed adds to an elite burst. Twitch and crisp cutting ability pops off the tape with a dynamic make you miss skill with the ball in his hand. Ability to firm up his game as a route runner is there, but so are uncoachable intangibles like speed and athleticism. Power 5 staffs will be giving him a hard look by fall.
