Here is a group of players from Class 2A schools who found the end zone often in the 2020 season.
Torrey Horak Torrey Horak 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Rossville | 2022 State KS , 5’10”, 165, Rossville – Horak is one of the most explosive football players in all of Kansas. He rushed for 30 touchdowns and passed for 25 more during his junior season. This Class of 2022 recruit is a can’t miss big-time prospect.
Reed Adelhardt, 6’1”, 190, Garden Plain – Adelhardt found the end zone 15 times on the ground in 2020. He also added two more. The Garden Plain running back rushed more than 1,100 yards during his junior season. He is fast, strong, and works hard in the classroom.
Gannon Remer, 6’1”, 200, Silver Lake – Remer will be an interesting player to watch in 2021. He found the end zone 15 times, eight of them on receptions. Remer is a running back with good hands and solid speed. He had more than 1,000 all-purpose yards and is a factor in the return game. He like the two previously listed players is in the Class of 2022.
Trey Sommer Trey Sommer 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Humboldt | 2023 State KS , 6’1”, 175, Humboldt – Sommer is in the Class of 2023 and scored 12 touchdowns in 2020. He rushed for nine and scored three on receptions. Sommer could end up playing tight end, running back, quarterback, or receiver. He is a versatile athlete with a bright future.
Landon Boss Landon Boss 6'1" | 215 lbs | ATH Osage City | 2023 State KS , 6’1”, 205, Osage City – Boss has a high ceiling at Osage City. The Indian quarterback rushed for 11 touchdowns in his sophomore season. He threw for 24 touchdowns and accounted for more than 1,000 yards in both the running and passing games. His future might not be at quarterback, but without a doubt, he has a future in college football.
Kade Harris Kade Harris 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH TMP | 2023 State KS , 5’11”, 165, Hays-TMP – Harris is another member of the Class of 2023 who scored often in 2020. He rushed for nine scores and threw 16 passes for touchdowns. He amassed more than 1,200 yards passing during his sophomore season and rushed for 865 yards.
