Here is a group of players from the Eight-Man ranks who found the end zone often in the 2020 season.
All of these players are in the Class of 2023 and heading into their junior seasons.
Isaac Detweiler Isaac Detweiler 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Axtell | 2023 State KS , 5’11”, 165, Axtell – Detweiler could be the best Eight-Man prospect in the class of 2023. He threw for 31 touchdowns and rushed for 16 more. He can throw, run, and break tackles. Axtell will have a dangerous scoring threat for the next two seasons.
Michael Laymon Michael Laymon 6'0" | 165 lbs | LB Central Plains | 2023 KS , 6’0”, 165, Central Plains – Laymon is a big framed quarterback who can pass and run. He finished with 23 total touchdowns for the Central Plains Oilers in his sophomore season. He rushed for 18 touchdowns and threw for five more. He rushed for 548 yards and threw for 452. He has a strong arm and two more years to run a high school offense.
Ryan Kuckelman Ryan Kuckelman 6'3" | 170 lbs | ATH Macksville | 2023 State KS , 6’3”, 170, Macksville – Kuckelman finished with 25 touchdowns in 2020. The sophomore quarterback rushed for 19 touchdowns and threw for six more. He is a tall quarterback with a strong arm. He completed almost fifty percent of his pass attempts and rushed for 710 yards.
Tayden Tindle Tayden Tindle 5'7" | 130 lbs | RB West Elk | 2023 KS , 5’8”, 140, West Elk – Tindle rushed for 13 touchdowns and scored 16 total. He carried the ball for 1,035 yards. He will be a weapon in the return game for years to come. He ran back three kickoff returns for scores. His workload will increase as he matures in the Patriots program.
Jett Vincent, 6’0”, 150, Wheatland-Grinnell – Vincent posted some of the top receiving numbers in Eight-Man football but could be the Thunderhawks’ future quarterback. He caught 15 balls for touchdowns and finished 44 receptions. Vincent also amassed 79 tackles for Wheatland-Grinnell playing free safety.
