The two teams traded blows throughout the whole game. The Jaguars were moving the ball down the field. As quarterback John Conner threw a pass to an intended receiver, Ronald Holmes comes up and intercepts the ball to seal the deal on the game.
Here are the players that stood out throughout this Saturday.
QB/DB Lavonta Clerk c/o 22. Clerk was a huge asset to the Tigers on both sides of the ball. He is fast and very elusive at quarterback, and he has good accuracy in his throws. Clerk threw for three touchdowns during the game. He also benefited on the defensive side by catching an interception that changed the momentum of the game in the fourth quarter.
RB/DB Ronald Holmes c/o 22. Just like Clerk, Holmes was all over the field on offense and defense. He’s very shifty at running back, and he knows how to make defenders miss. Holmes caught the game winning interception to close the game out in the fourth quarter.
WR Issa Afolayan c/o 21. Afolayan contributed to the Tigers’ offense a lot. He used his height to his advantage during the game, going up and coming down with the ball. Afolayan is also fast when he’s in the open field, and he’s hard to take down. Whenever he’s not running routes during pass plays, he turns into a great run blocker for his teammates. During the game, Afolayan had two receiving touchdowns.
WR Phillip March c/o 21. March made some really good plays. He has great hands and can focus his attention extremely well towards the ball. He made a great catch while colliding with his teammate in mid air.

QB John Conner c/o 22. Conner was all over the place during the game. Since Erion Jackson was unable to play, Conner stepped up on defense, making plays at safety. Conner also completed two touchdown passes. He also used his feet to move the ball down the field. Conner fought hard all game in order to keep the game close.
LB Rasheen Yarbrough c/o 22. Yarbrough showed great pursuit to the ball on defense. Wherever the ball carrier was running, he was there to make a play. Yarbrough made some good tackles during the game and read the offense really well.
