Grabbing the Spotlight Dax Goff Linebacker Booneville
One thing that the town of Booneville is used to is that they always produce quality teams, players, and people. Every year it is like clockwork that the Bearcats always seem to produce excellent players on both sides of the ball. In today’s Grabbing the Spotlight we are going to look at freshman running back and linebacker Dax Goff.
The Booneville Bearcats have been a football powerhouse for many years in the state of Arkansas. They are always extremely well coached and always have a number of talented players. Players in Booneville start young and are always in contention for state championships with deep playoff runs being the norm. Which gives scouts an opportunity to scout the 2024 talent that the Bearcats have.
Dax Goff has all the tools to be a special player at the next level. On the defensive side of the ball, Goff plays with impressive speed. He is always around the ball and is looking to separate the ball from the ball carrier. Should the blocker or the offensive line not account for Goff he can disrupt the entire offensive game plan easily. The final trait on the defensive side of the ball is just how easily Goff reads and diagnosis the play. He uses his instincts very well and combined with the speed he has it makes for a nightmare combination for the opposing offense.
Meanwhile, on the offensive side of the ball. The Booneville coaching staff does an excellent job of getting Goff involved in the flexbone offense. Goff can take the pitch and turn the corner and will be off to the races. He will also not be brought down on initial contact. A final trait on the offensive side of the ball is just how patient he is running the football. Goff does an excellent job of allowing his blockers to clear a path for him.
Goff is a multisport athlete; he plays baseball during the spring. However, that does not mean he is not concentrating on football. The young man has already performed well at the Next Generation Dallas Performance Camp. He competed in against older competition and did a terrific job of flashing his speed and playmaking potential. Goff has goals for the offseason. He wants to learn the new schemes that the coaching staff are implementing this offseason. Scouts are looking forward to seeing what Goff accomplishes over the next few years. He has plenty of potential and will be playing on Saturdays soon.
