Note: these players are on an “as seen” basis, with some of the names were passed along by the tournament coaches. Shoot me an email at Nate@PrepRedzone.com if we can add anybody for a future evaluation! These kids are in no particular order. Just as an FYI, our cutoff for evaluations is the Class of 2024 on up. 2025s and 2026s, your time is coming, young men!
Quarterbacks
Luke Floysand Luke Floysand 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Cretin Derham Hall | 2022 State MN | QB, Cretin-Derham Hall/Potenza Sports (MN) | (2022)
Floysand is one of the most consistent quarterbacks in Minnesota I have seen in multiple 7on7 events.
His arm motion in his throws is so rapid, and it shows in his arm strength. Floysand does an excellent job being precise with his throws as he can fit the ball in some tight windows. He also is great at getting his wide receivers on the run, which he shows plenty of that in his junior film I watched. Definite college-level arm. I think Floysand is due for moving up 5-10 spots in our QB rankings for the 2022 class.
Daylen Cummings Daylen Cummings 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH Centennial | 2024 State MN | QB, Centennial (MN)/ Potenza Sports (MN) | (2024)
Cummings could have been on this list from Day One but performed even better in the morning on Day Two. Cummings poise throwing the football showed in the late games on Saturday but excelled on Sunday.
Something you can’t see much with 7on7 is how a QB is on his feet. Cummings on tape shows strong mobility to get out of traffic and create his own yards with his legs. Super effective running the option for the Cougars. Cummings has a perfect zip on the football regardless of the depth of throw he’s making. He has to be one of the most multiple mobile dual-threat QBs from our 2024 rankings.
Brayden Alger | QB, Davenport North (IA) | (2024)
Alger was the quarterback leader of day two for the Wildcats of Davenport North. He showed a tremendous next-level throwing ability for just a freshman filling on Sunday. Based on Sunday, my gut is telling me that Alger could become a varsity starter for the Wildcats in the coming years.

Colton Hackel Colton Hackel 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Perham | 2022 State MN | QB, Perham (MN)/Hitmen | (2022)
Hackel backed up a strong Day one with another impressive Day Two. Shifting from the UNI-Dome to outside with 20 mph winds on Sunday, he put some sideline throws on the money despite the wind being a factor.
I rolled a new section of Hackel’s film that I didn’t see from earlier. I think this kid’s mobility is underappreciated as he makes a lot of tough throws from spots that aren’t the most comfortable to throw from. Not to mention his frame (6’2 215) is next-level material and can bruise you on the run near the end zone.
Peyton Wheat Peyton Wheat 5'11" | 195 lbs | QB Topeka | 2023 State KS | QB, LawrenceFree State/785 Elite (KS) | (2023)
It was a rough outing for 18U 785 Elite for Day One, but they turned it around in Day Two with help from QB Peyton Wheat Peyton Wheat 5'11" | 195 lbs | QB Topeka | 2023 State KS who threw the ball well for 785 Elite getting them some much-needed momentum on Sunday.
Wheat might be one of the tougher undersized quarterbacks I saw at the tournament on film. As a 5’10 185 pounder, he has a super strong lower body to evade for extra yards after contact. Free State runs the option a ton, so you won’t see many throws from Wheat on his film but reference the clip below to show what he can do as a 2023 prospect at quarterback.

Running Backs
Cade Sheedy Cade Sheedy 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Davenport North | 2022 State IA | RB, Davenport North (IA) | (2022)
Sheedy was one of my few running backs that made my list from Sunday.
When you look at Sheedy’s film, you see a kid that is just a knocker in between the tackles at linebacker. He’s super quick at shedding off blocks and getting into the backfield with great ease. I really am a big fan of this kid’s motor as he’s another prospect that I feel will keep running until the play is over. Every clip you watch him on, you see his physical presence on a tackle, which the coaches want to see at the next level. This kid has all the tools to be a Division I linebacker in my eyes.
Mason King | RB, Wamego/785 Elite | (2024)
King brought his key contributions to Day Two after being on our Day One list as well!
This kid is exceptionally well-built for his age as a 5’11, 195 pounder at tailback for Wamego. With King’s limited film, you see a kid who is an absolute bully blocker, which seems he could play fullback with blocks like that. King can already feed the front of the inside running lanes really well.
Sam Allen | RB, Riley County/785 Elite (KS) | (2026)
Eli Broxterman | RB, Axtell/785 Elite (KS) | (2025)
Wide Receivers
Peter Phan | WR, Davenport North (IA) | (2022)
Phan caught my eyes from a first look as he made an acrobatic catch in the right corner of the end zone on Sunday morning.
No film available to evaluate.
Morgan Bequeaith | WR, Davenport North (IA) | (2022)
Bequeaith was another player that made our notepad on Saturday.
His ability to be a wide receiver that is all about his teammates that gets out in front and blocks is what I love most about Bequeaith’s film. He’s a phenomenal blocker that runs really well downhill on the defense with his blocks. Bequeaith needs to develop a better turn radius in his footwork and needs more film to become a WR at the next level.
Alex Mota | WR/ATH, Marion/Fire Dragons (IA) | (2023)
Mota showed off the hands and the wheels on the receiving end on Sunday from what I watched. This kid is the complete package no matter where he lines up.
When your watch his tape, you truly see that “complete package play.” At QB, his throwing motion is so attractive, and one of the ones I’ve noticed that looks darn close to effortless. As a defensive back, Mota can lay the hit stick at a very high level. Mota also hits the gas pedal super hard and is one of those kids that will give his entire motor to run a player down when he sees a touchdown. With his versatility in so many different spots, it’s hard to see where Mota fits at the next level. From my eyes, DB looks to be his best fit, but he could end up anywhere! I am stunned he didn’t crack our rankings in Iowa; kids a super athlete.
