NOTABLES
*Easton senior quarterback had an amazing performance against Easton’s 42-20 win over Decatur. He completed 21-out-of-31 passes for 339 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. Easton junior running back, carried the football 16 times for 94 yards. Grant Cooper (10 catches for 143 yards and one touchdown and Jonathan Cope (five catches for 98 yards and one touchdown) led Easton’s wide receivers.
*Quarterback Quentin Demery was very efficient in Franklin’s 27-10 win over over Perry Hall. Demery completed 4-out-of-7 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Gavin Nelson, who caught four passes for 151 yards (37.8 ypc) was on the receiving end of both of those touchdown passes. Defensive lineman Malik Agent made 10 total tackles (8 solos). Five of Agent’s tackles were for a loss.
*Westminster’s Erick Stranko and Mason Fisher both scored two touchdowns in FSK’s 40-7 win.
*Man Valley’s Jackson Booty ran for three touchdowns in his team’s win.
*North County won its first game of this spring football season.
*Ryan Rush carried the football 15 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns in Chesapeake’s win. Nate Rosado, Chesapeake’s quarterback, passed for 113 yards and one touchdown.
*Broadneck quarterback Josh Ehrlich passed for 185 and four touchdowns. Davion White and Machi Evans both caught two touchdown passes. Running back Jaire Le’Mon rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown.
*Nick Laumann and Michael Chrisitello both scored a touchdown in River Hill’s win over Mt. Hebron.
*DeMatha Catholic has played its last football game of the spring season. Cameron Edge Cameron Edge 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Dematha | 2023 DE , DeMatha’s quarterback, announced via Twitter that the rest of his team’s schedule was cancer. The official reason was not mentioned, so I will not speculate. DeMatha ends its spring season with a 3-1 record. Gonzaga is the only team that DeMatha lost to during the spring season (24-17 loss on March 13, 2021). DeMatha was fortunate to play four games. There are dozens of schools in Maryland that did not play football last fall or this spring.
