This series will have multiple articles bringing attention to names to put on your radar from Michigan in the class of ’24. As we head into the 2021 season, these prospects will be having a more prominent role on their teams, and some of these players will become national recruits after the 2021 season because they are that special.
Nicholas Marsh, River Rogue (WR, 6’3, 195) hudl, Twitter
At 6’3, Marsh already has the size that colleges want to see in a WR. He shows a great ability to win 1 v 1 matchups and is a touchdown machine as he was the main target for River Rogue in redzone situations. He no doubt will be a top WR recruit in the nation when it is all said and done. He currently holds 8 offers including Arizona State, Michigan, and West Virginia. In the classroom, Nicholas holds a 3.8 GPA.
Jacob Oden Jacob Oden 6'0" | 185 lbs | DB Harper Woods | 2024 State MI , Harper Woods (DB, 6’0, 180) hudl, Twitter
Son of Harper Woods head football coach, Rod Oden, Jacob is an athletic and long DB who shows great technique in coverage. His ability to quickly change direction and awareness in coverage is what impressed me the most. He currently has 9 offers with his most recent being from Ole Miss. Oden is also a hard worker in the classroom with a 4.1 GPA.
Jeremiah Beasley, Belleville (RB/OLB, 6’1, 210 ) hudl, Twitter
Younger brother of Michigan State WR Maliq Carr, Jeremiah has limited film on him but that has not stopped colleges from recruiting him. Kentucky, Maryland, and Austin Peay offered him before he even started high school. He is in store for a big 2021 season and will be showcasing his physicality on both sides of the ball. I am positive that he will receive a good amount of offers once more colleges see how he performs on the field this upcoming season.
Reggie Gardner, Southfield A&T (DT/DE, 6’0, 240) hudl, Twitter
Someone who I think could become one of the top prospects on the dline in Michigan is Reggie Gardner. Listed at 6’0 and 240, he obviously needs to grow some and become stronger in order for colleges to become interested in him. Since he is a freshman, he has plenty of time to do both of those things. When watching his film, you can tell he has great get off speed at the LOS and can use his quickness to get into the backfield with ease. In the 2021 season, I anticipate an expanded role from him on Southfield’s dline, and offers should start rolling in for him if he can build off of this past season.
CJ Carr, Saline (QB, 6’3, 185) hudl ,Twitter
A promising QB prospect, Carr comes from a football family. His grandfather, Lloyd Carr, was a head coach for Michigan and his dad played QB for Michigan. At Saline, CJ splits time with Larry Robinson who is one of the ’22 top dual threats QBs in Michigan. He started one game as a freshman and made the most of the opportunity going 20/28 for 220 yards and 1 TD. Carr is comfortable and patient in the pocket with great arm strength to show for. I am excited to see how he progresses throughout his high school career. Currently, he has an offer from Michigan and Michigan State but his offer list will definitely increase soon.
