Jabari Murphy Jabari Murphy 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR Elmore County | 2024 State AL | WR | Elmore County
Murphy has physical traits that are as impressive as can be found anywhere at this point in the recruiting game. Compact, well put together frame, that showcases agility. Extremely impressive hands are evident on tape. Not a burner speed wise, but holds his own within that category with looseness and athleticism throughout his body. Murphy will be fun to watch from a physical growth perspective to see if he finds a home as a boundary receiver or a slot guy. As maturation takes place from a technical and route running perspective, Murphy should grow into a well sought-after target for 2024.
Demarcus Riddick Demarcus Riddick 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Chilton County | 2024 State AL | ATH | Chilton County
Riddick is the definition of ATH at the High School Football level. The kid can be found lined up anywhere at any given time. Depending on what happens growth wise, Riddick may find his home on the defensive side of the ball due to the long and rangy frame he already possesses. The 2024 prospect does good things with the ball in his hands with strength and power while showcasing enough athletic ability to be productive as a skill player, too, at this stage in the game. Size and overall athletic ability are going to be present when his time comes. The biggest questions currently are just how much size will exactly be there and where does he land position wise. With more varsity reps in the coming year questions will start to get answered for Mr. Riddick.
Perry Thompson Perry Thompson 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Foley | 2024 State AL | WR | Foley
Thompson stands every bit of 6″3 as a freshman, giving him the redzone threat trait early in his career. Impressive catch radius and understanding of how to use it considering his age. Moves well and under control, not awkward like a lot of young longer wideouts. Decent as a route runner with loads of potential in that category, as well as potential to be man to man nightmare matchup due to his length. Thompson is just scratching the surface of what he can be. Staffs will start to take notice sooner rather than later.
James Whatley James Whatley 6'2" | 190 lbs | RB Escambia County | 2024 State AL | RB | Escambia County
You will be hard pressed to find a more well built freshmen RB than Whatley. The kid 100% passes the eye test early on from a physical perspective. Good combination of strength with shiftiness as a between the tackles runner, which he is in his current state. Good vision with the ball in his hands while showcasing some patience as a runner. Doesn’t have run away type speed at this time, but adequate in that phase. Whatley projects as a power back and currently has tons of untapped, raw potential. The future is bright in the run game at Escambia County due to Whatley.
