Many players have used this year as a motivational push to work harder toward reaching their goal of playing football at the next level. One skills development and weight training program that some of the state’s top athletes have been working with is Channel.4, which is run by Coach Greg Thomas. In addition to running Channel.4, Coach Thomas is also the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for Team Full Gorilla, one of Colorado’s premier 7-on-7 national club teams.
Coach Thomas and Channel.4 have worked with a number of Colorado’s top prospects, such as Kole Taylor (LSU TE), Terrance Ferguson Terrance Ferguson 6'5" | TE Heritage | 2021 State CO (Oregon TE), Luke McAllister Luke McAllister 6'4" | QB Palmer Ridge | 2021 State CO (CSU QB), and Seyi Oladipo Seyi Oladipo 5'11" | DB Eaglecrest | 2021 State CO (Boise St. DB) to name a few. Now, Coach Thomas is working with players like recent CSU Pueblo commit Robert Martinez-Chavez, Grandview’s Kahden Rullo Kahden Rullo 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB Grandview | 2022 State CO (2022 DB), Chaparral’s Keenan Stokes Keenan Stokes 6'1" | 205 lbs | LB Chaparral | 2022 State CO (2022 LB/SS), and Pomona’s Dominick Nichols Dominick Nichols 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Pomona | 2022 State CO (2022 RB/DB).
Rullo completed his junior campaign with 34 total tackles, six interceptions, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one punt block. He also returned a punt, an interception, and a fumble recovery for touchdowns. He covers the field well and possesses the physicality to disrupt plays. Rullo’s high football IQ and athleticism make him a top-tier playmaker.
Stokes is a 6-foot-3 player with great size, quick feet, and good eyes. He completed his junior season with a total of 33 tackles, one sack, two pass deflections, and a fumble recovery. Overland’s Ismael Cisse Ismael Cisse 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Cherry Creek | 2023 State CO (2023 WR/DB) has been getting extra work with Channel.4 during the offseason as well. Cisse had 33 catches for 516 yards and three touchdowns during his freshman and sophomore seasons.
Nichols is another phenomenal athlete. His junior season ended with him rushing a total of 26 times for 218 yards and two touchdowns, along with four receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Nichols had 17 total tackles, two pass breakups, one interception, and one fumble recovery. He is a tough runner with great speed and excellent vision, which is how he racked up 233 punt return yards and one touchdown.
In addition to working with high school athletes, Channel.4 also works with the state’s future high school stars. Micah Fleming (2027 CB) is arguably the number one ranked 13U defensive back in the country. Earlier this year, Fleming received an official offer from the University of Southern California. The 5280 Jr. Buffalo is one of a few young athletes that turn to Channel.4 for extra work during the offseason.
