Michael Masunas Michael Masunas 6'5" | 250 lbs | TE Hamilton | 2022 State AZ , TE, 2022, Hamilton
Masunas walked away as the overall MVP of the showcase. Possesses great size, frame, and length for a Power 5 TE at 6’5” 240 lbs. He’s a natural pass catcher with strong/confident hands and good body control to adjust to the ball. He has continued to improve his speed and bend to develop into one of the state’s top TE recruits with nine D1 offers including Florida State, Maryland, UNLV, Army, and Air Force.
Parker Kingston, WR, 2022, Roy (UT)
Explosive slot receiver with great top end/breakaway speed. He’s a fluid athlete that translates well to his route running ability. He’s precise and sharp with his cuts and smooth in and out of his breaks. Great use of head fakes and shoulder movement to sell his routes and create separation. Natural pass catcher with strong hands and good adjustment ability. Threat to take it all the way every time he touches the ball.
Jaxon Haynes, WR, 2023, Hamilton
Demonstrated great body control with his ability track and adjust to the ball in the air. He’s explosive out of his stance with a strong burst out off the LOS. Good ability to create separation different ways, he can use his speed to outrun or be more of a crafty route runner creating space with a good release and sharp cuts. He’s a plus athlete with soft hands capable of making highlight reel receptions. Just scratching the surface of his potential.
Duncan Hoover Duncan Hoover 6'4" | 200 lbs | WR Walden Grove | 2022 State AZ , WR, 2022, Walden Grove
Hoover impressed throughout the showcase with his combination of size and natural receiver ability. Great length with a large catch radius using his 6’4” frame. Showed a strong burst out of his stance with good start/stop speed. He’s a smooth athlete with good coordination for his size and is a good vertical threat with his ability to time out and come down with jump balls. Strong hands, showed he can extend and snatch the ball out of the air. Great ability to haul in contested catches. Capable and willing stalk blocker on the outside.
Jordan Huff, WR, 2022, Mountain Pointe
Long and lean frame at almost 6’3” with a large catch radius. He’s a plus athlete with great body control and hands to make acrobatic catches. Strong burst off the LOS with good top end speed to stretch the field vertically. Capable of making explosive plays after the catch. Also a very strong stalk blocker on the outside.
Blaise Nelson Blaise Nelson 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Valley Vista | 2023 State AZ , WR, 2023, Valley Vista
Dual sport track athlete that is quick and explosive. He shows good change of direction and acceleration out of his breaks/cuts. Strong route runner that can break off defenders he flashes good hip level transition at the top of his routes. Route running is very fluid and shows off his coordination and body control. Tough to guard 1v1 due to his flat out speed and ability to run by defenders.
Jonathan Noriega Jonathan Noriega 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Gila Ridge | 2022 State AZ , WR, 2022, Gila Ridge
Strong technical receiver that is creative and savvy with his movement and route running. Deceptive speed he is able to slip by coverage and drive out of his cuts to create separation. Shows good concentration and body control to track the ball with his eyes through the catch and isn’t afraid to attack the ball at the highest point. Also shows a good ability to read coverages and see the soft spot to get open and create a throwing lane for the QB.
Christopher Thomas, WR, 2022, Cactus
A dynamic athlete that is an explosive playmaker. Good top end/breakaway speed to be a vertical threat or turn short passes into long gains after the catch. Strong route runner that is smooth in and out of his breaks and does a great job mixing up speeds. Good ability to track and adjust to the deep ball. Effort player that is also a capable stalk blocker on the outside.
William White, WR, 2024, Sabino
The freshman consistently flashed and caught scout’s eyes throughout the day. He’s a confident route runner that is creative establishing separation and is precise with his cuts. Does a great job selling at the top of his routes. He’s a good all around athlete with big play potential using his speed and ability after the catch. Strong and reliable hands, he extends and doesn’t allow the ball to get into his body. Will be a playmaker in the Sabino offense for years to come.
