These five players were around the ball all last season and a force that opposing offenses need to look out for. They did all they could to get the ball back to their team and make game changing plays.

Victor Owens, Sr. SS

Victor was around the ball all last season for Vista Peak PREP. In eleven games he was able to intercept two passes, which was good enough for second on the team. Victor was also able to recover one fumble helping his team to a 10-1 record and a trip to the playoffs. Victor is also the QB of the team looking to make plays on both sides of the ball.

Sterling Jones, Sr. DE

Sterling is a defensive end that was third on his team last year in forced turnovers. He was able to force one fumble with a recovery. He was also able to intercept one ball last year. Sterling has had a strong start to his senior season and has helped lead Denver North to a 2-0 start.

Jalyn Byrd, Sr. CB

Jalyn was second on the team last season with two interceptions. He is also a part of the receiving core and is expecting a big senior season on both sides of the ball. Far Northeast uses Byrd on both sides of the ball and he is expected to make a lot of plays for the team this season.

Jaylen Bennet, Sr. OLB

Rangeview is off to a 2-0 start this spring season. A big part of their early success is because of their senior leading linebacker Jaylen. Last season he had one interception and lead the team with two forced fumbles. He also ended his junior campaign third on the team in tackles.

Ty’ren Draper, Sr. SS

After a great 2019 season Hinkley is off to a tough start this spring. They are going to rely heavily on their defensive senior Ty’ren. He was able to intercept one pass in the 2019 campaign and was also able to cause one fumble.
