Jeremiah Earby, ATH, Menlo-Atherton
Earby’s recruiting stock is rising quickly with his first offer from Colorado State last week and then pulling in Northern Arizona several days ago. The dual-sport athlete has many of the physical traits D1 colleges look for including speed, COD, and a long frame. Demonstrates good ability in both man and zone coverage and has shown he can be a lockdown corner against top tier talent. Transitions well out of his back pedal and shows good burst/acceleration out of his break. Flashes good instincts and route anticipation to put himself in position to make plays. High ceiling with a great skillset to build on as he continues to develop.
Demetrius Rawson, WR, St. Bernard’s (Eureka)
Picked up his first offer from D2 Adam’s State. He’s the go-to guy in the St. Bernard’s offense due to his reliability and big play potential. Shows he can attack the defense at all three depths but does a really good job at the intermediate level creating separation or finding the soft spot in coverage. Strong/confident hands, he flashes a good ability to make difficult contested catches and isn’t afraid to go across the middle to catch a ball in traffic. Physical stalk blocker that shows good effort and can sustain.
Sam Ross, LB, Miramonte
A versatile and downhill defender with a long frame at 6’4” 215 lbs. High football IQ with strong instincts/awareness, he puts himself in position to make plays and has a nose for the football. Plus athlete with good mobility in pursuit, he shows good ability to redirect then is quick and decisive with his angle. Flashes a strong burst that can close on the ball extremely quickly and overwhelm the ball carrier. Plays with good leverage and pad level at the POA to deliver strong and powerful contact. Possesses a high ceiling with natural talent and great frame to build at the college level. Northern Arizona was the first to offer at the beginning of the month shortly before Cal Poly.
Cameron Sampson, ATH, Capital Christian
Explosive playmaker that can change the game every time he touches the ball. He’s an impressive and versatile athlete that can line up anywhere on the field and make an impact. He’s elusive and dangerous in space using his plus speed, quickness, and lateral agility. Great start/stop speed and change-of-direction to work around defenders. Recently picked up his first two offers from Idaho State and then Northern Arizona shortly after. Will generate a lot more recruiting attention due to his skillset and ability to run, catch, and return.
Tim Thomas, LB, St. Mary’s
Thomas picked up his long awaited first offer from Colorado State last week. Well-built and compact frame at 6’2” 220 lbs. with a strong lower half. Possesses a high football IQ and plays well with his eyes, he’s decisive with his reads and possesses a quick trigger to react. Fluid hips when changing directions he transitions well and closes space quickly with good leg drive out of his break. Good tackler that can deliver strong contact at the POA. Regarded as one of the more under recruited prospects in northern California this first offer could launch his recruiting and inspire other programs to pull the trigger on him.
