As players move into their upperclassmen years, college programs increase their efforts to bring these student-athletes in, and in this case, they have good reason. The Class of 2023 offers a wide-array of talent along the offensive line. Today let us take a look at some of the top ranked offensive linemen in our Prep Redzone Indiana Class of 2023.
Our top-rated offensive lineman in the class is Roncalli’s Trevor Lauck Trevor Lauck 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Roncalli | 2023 State IN . Lauck serves as the anchor of Roncalli’s offensive line at the center position. Lauck’s height gives him the ideal reach when trying to execute any blocking assignment. Lauck has the perfect build to play the center position. He will be able to move quickly along the line. Lauck will be able to kick and pull when serving as a lead blocker in the run game. I could see Trevor Lauck Trevor Lauck 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Roncalli | 2023 State IN being successful in any type of offense at the next level.
Our next prospect, residing in northwestern Indiana, is De’Eric Mister De’Eric Mister 6'7" | 280 lbs | OL West Side | 2023 State IN . Mister plays for Gary West Side High School. De’Eric is an offensive line coach’s dream, due to his combination of versatility and size. Mister has experience playing guard, center and tackle. His size also suits him well. 6’5 and 250 pounds is a perfect frame for what an offensive coordinator is looking for in today’s game. At 6’5 he has good reach allowing him to be a great lead blocker. At 250 pounds, he is able to move quickly and he can perform any kind of block needed to execute the play. De’Eric Mister De’Eric Mister 6'7" | 280 lbs | OL West Side | 2023 State IN is a rising star in a very talent-rich portion of Indiana.
Noblesville’s Andrew Page Andrew Page 6'4" | 320 lbs | OL Noblesville | 2023 State IN is another prospect that shows a world of potential. Page has experience playing both guard and tackle for Noblesville. When lined up at tackle, he does a great job driving the defensive end of the ball, especially on off-tackle runs, opening up big holes outside. He also has a knack for getting to second level and blocking the linebackers. Page also pulls across the line of scrimmage well. His ability to pin a defensive end and to get to the linebacker level makes him a load to deal with. Andrew Page Andrew Page 6'4" | 320 lbs | OL Noblesville | 2023 State IN shows the potential to be a real force along the offensive line at the next level.
The final offensive line prospect that we will take a look at today is LaVille’s AJ Bedock AJ Bedock 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL LaVille | 2023 State IN . Bedock can dominate both sides of the line of scrimmage as he plays defensive tackle as well as offensive guard. As a guard, Bedock is a dominant force on LaVille’s offensive line. Bedock does a terrific job of positioning himself. He has the ability to open up holes, especially when he is the point-of-attack for the play. He does a great job pinning his assignment to create the running lanes. Bedock also does well getting up to the linebacker level. AJ Bedock AJ Bedock 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL LaVille | 2023 State IN shows a great football IQ to go along with his tremendous physical talent.
The Class of 2023 is shaping up to be a solid one for offensive linemen in the state of Indiana. Following this, I will have an article where we discuss the other top linemen in the class. These prospects show an immense amount of raw talent and a huge upside. These guys are the building blocks for an elite offense. Now is the time for college coaches to get these remarkable student-athletes on their radar.
