Today we will break down the game of the four highest-rated offensive linemen in the class. These are some of the best offensive linemen coaches will see on any of their recruiting stops. These are guys that still have a lot of potential and are ready for breakout seasons. The prospects on this list are poised for big things in the fall. The Hoosier state should garner serious attention from scouts this upcoming season, especially for those who are attempting to build a team that is dominant in the trenches.
Edward Hartig Edward Hartig 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL Reitz Memorial | 2023 State IN 6’6, 275 pounds Reitz Memorial
The first player on this list is Edward Hartig Edward Hartig 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL Reitz Memorial | 2023 State IN from Evansville Reitz Memorial. Hartig plays primarily at guard for the Tigers. Hartig does a great job getting off the ball. Hartig demonstrates really good power and solid technique as he always finishes his blocks. Hartig can completely move the defender out of the way and open up huge holes to run through. He also shows the ability to get up to the second level and attack the linebackers. Edward Hartig Edward Hartig 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL Reitz Memorial | 2023 State IN is a rugged, blue-collar offensive lineman with the skillset that leads to establishing a dominant run game.
Isaiah Fowler Isaiah Fowler 6'2" | 265 lbs | OL Chesterton | 2023 State IN 6’2, 255 pounds Chesterton
Isaiah Fowler Isaiah Fowler 6'2" | 265 lbs | OL Chesterton | 2023 State IN is another player who dominates in the trenches. Fowler is a versatile player who can play both tackle and guard for the Chesterton Trojans. On top of that, Fowler can also play defensive end. Throughout the 2020 season, Fowler played most of his offensive snaps at tackle. There, he demonstrated solid technique. Fowler uses his hands really well and he plays with good fundamentals and boy positioning. In the run game, Fowler can drive back his opponent. Isaiah Fowler Isaiah Fowler 6'2" | 265 lbs | OL Chesterton | 2023 State IN shows good instincts and discipline at tackle, making him an elite prospect.
Ty Mead Ty Mead 6'2" | 260 lbs | OL Avon | 2023 State IN 6’0, 240 pounds Avon
The final offensive lineman rated in the Prep Redzone Indiana Class of 2023 rankings is Ty Mead Ty Mead 6'2" | 260 lbs | OL Avon | 2023 State IN from Avon. Mead is a little bit smaller than the other guys on this list, but that does not stop him at all. Mead plays with a low center of gravity, allowing him to have a good base and to generate plenty of power. Mead is also very quick. This quickness allows for coaches to task him with just about any blocking assignment. I see a ton of upside from Ty Mead Ty Mead 6'2" | 260 lbs | OL Avon | 2023 State IN .
The common denominator amongst all of these great prospects is their upward trajectory. These are young players who are ready to take a huge step forward. Indiana has dominant offensive linemen all over the place. The sky is the limit for these outstanding prospects. With bright futures ahead, college coaches should be looking forward to the opportunities they could have with these terrific student-athletes on their rosters.
