Defensive Spotlight
Brady Kopetz Brady Kopetz 6'4" | 215 lbs | LB Lincoln Highschool | 2022 OR , LB, 6’4″ 215lbs, Lincoln HS ’22
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11566780/Brady-Kopetz
Kopetz sizes up with excellent length and a strong, athletic frame, and is an absolute monster at LB. His film was one of my favorite defensive films to watch, as I believe this kid is a huge sleeper. He’s shown solid functional strength with the ability to blow up blocks head on, or bull rush over offensive linemen. He has good instincts and physicality and closes well as a tackler. He i strong at the POA and displays a big time striking ability to rock his opponents. As a pass rusher, he’s shown the ability to shoot through gaps, or force a quick rush on the edges with good bend. When he shoots gaps, he gets skinny and times the snap very well. On the edges, he’s deflected numerous passes as he shows a good leaping ability as well. Kopetz plays mean and projects to be one of the most feared LB’s in the state next season. He just landed his first offer from Idaho State, but I believe the flood gates are about to open for this kid, as he should draw some FBS attention in the near future.
After a great conversation with @coachcooperISU I am Extremely excited and honored to receive my first scholarship to play D1 football at Idaho state! Thank you much for the opportunity! Go bengals! pic.twitter.com/go5JriERdK

Offensive Spotlight
Jackson Flatner, WR, 5’10” 160lbs, Roosevelt HS ’22
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/15912624/jackson-flatner
Coming to my surprise, this was Flatner’s first year ever playing football, and it could’ve easily fooled me. He lined up in the slot for Roosevelt, and showed an excellent initial burst off the LOS. He sets up his routes well as he’s already started to develop that football IQ, and is a very creative shallow route runner. He shows a nice change of direction and is explosive out of the top of his stick, mainly on shallow routes in which he generates large separation. Flatner shows soft hands and doesn’t seem to be rattled by the anticipating contact after the catch. He has solid speed all around and hits top speed fairly quick. He started to showcase is shiftiness when he has the ball in space, and could potentially develop into a big play threat with the ball in his hands next season. He was a KR for Roosevelt as well, and it will be fun to see how Flatner matures going into next season.
