However, this weekend has plenty of action going on from kicker and punter camps to the Rivals Combine in Dallas it is a busy weekend. In this article we will take a look at some of the players that had impressive performances at the camps over the weekend. We will also look at players that were putting work in away from the camp circuit this weekend.
A player that was putting work away from the camp and 7-on-7 circuit this weekend was 2022 cornerback Ryan Maxwell Ryan Maxwell 5'8" | 155 lbs | DB Fayetteville | 2022 State AR out of Fayetteville. In 2020, teams were already avoiding throwing at Maxwell’s side of the field and based on the work we were able to witness opposing teams will again attempt to stay away from his side of the field. Maxwell gives the Bulldogs a cornerback with terrific speed. He uses his hands well to redirect the wide receiver and he is going to be one of the top defensive backs in the state of Arkansas for the class of 2022.
Sticking on the Fayetteville roster, Cade Fields Cade Fields 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Fayetteville | 2022 State AR impressed a number of scouts in Dallas over the weekend. Fields put together some solid statistics over the weekend at the Rivals Combine. Fields ran 4.87 over the weekend and a 4.52 shuttle on Saturday. He displayed some explosiveness with a 116.25 broad jump. The Fayetteville defense has the potential to be a nasty unit to contend with. Maxwell, Fields, and are a part of a defense that could cause nightmares for opposing offenses.
Meanwhile Nicholas Davillier, was able to show off what he could against some tough competition in the Rivals Combine. The Maumelle defensive lineman was able to perform well in his one-on-one’s and really gain some momentum as the recruiting period begins to really heat up for the 2022 class. Davillier has started to set up some of his official visits up with a big one coming on June 5th to the University of Nebraska.
Maumelle does not just have talent along the defensive line. The Hornets also have talent on the offensive line in the form of Andrew Chamblee Andrew Chamblee 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL Maumelle | 2022 State AR . The Arkansas commit has proven to be a powerhouse on the offensive line. He shows quick feet and the ability to control the defensive lineman he blocks. Chamblee has been impressive over the past few years and he should keep that momentum going into the 2021 season. Chamblee has the potential to be a division one starter and he is definitely a player to watch out for in the 2022 class.
The 2022 class is not the only prospects that have had the opportunity to open some eyes this weekend. Ashdown tight end Shamar Easter Shamar Easter 6'5" | 205 lbs | TE Ashdown | 2023 State AR continues to impress on the camp circuit. He also continues to accumulate scholarship offers. Over the past month, Easter has added offers from Ole Miss, Penn State, and Michigan State. Easter is a nightmare for the opposing defense to attempt to cover. He has the athletic ability to go up and high point any pass thrown his way. Easter has the potential to be dominant play on Saturdays in the future.
