Primarily a run-heavy offense that can break off a big play at any time, but also can make big plays through the air as well. Defensively, they pitched three shutouts along with holding their opponents under 10 points four other times on the season. They will also return a well-spread out core of talent for the 2021 season.
Players Lost: RB/LB Jackson Noem Jackson Noem RB Hamlin | 2021 State (Mount Marty), FB/LB Cameron Thue, WR/DB Jacob MacDonnell, WR/DB Jasper Meier
Players Returning:
DL- Michael Stevenson did a nice job sealing the edge from the DE position. He is very physical with his blocker and drives through them off the snap, still holding contain. He also does a great job using his shoulder pad when making a tackle on the RB or QB.
FB/LB- Sam Grantham Sam Grantham RB Hamlin | 2022 State is also very physical football player from many positions on offense and defense. He fills his gaps quickly and brings some pop when he meets the ballcarrier or blocker. He wraps up and drives the ballcarrier backwards on contact. Offensively, primarily a lead blocker has the same attributes with his physicality but is also a good runner as well in open space.
QB/DL- Xander Sheehan really gave a good passing option for a run-heavy offense. He was good at making the quick, short throws, but was also patient enough to let routes develop and make the deep throws. He has good zip on the ball to squeeze it into tight windows, but also good touch to drop the ball in the bucket.
ATH- Luke Fraser Luke Fraser 5'11" | 195 lbs | ATH Hamlin | 2024 State SD played every skill position on offense, showing how versatile he is. Out of the backfield, he is very agile with quick cuts to get into the open field. He is a physical runner to run through and stiff-arm defenders. Split out wide he runs hard routes and creates a good vertical target. He is also a good backup QB option, being very mobile as a running QB but can make good throws downfield as well.
