This article is going to contain a mixture of different things including a 2023 potential star with great talent and a QB looking to have a comeback season after having a great sophomore year but suffered a season ending injury early in his 2020 campaign. This article will also have a RB looking to make his mark his senior year for the Heber Springs Panthers.
William Litton– 2022 class- QB Quitman Bulldogs
When you think of a QB the first thought generally is a player who sits in shotgun picking apart a defense with his arm but then there are QBs Like William. William can pick you apart if you let him but his legs are very dangerous! William stands at 6’2 and weighs in at 192 pounds. William’s Junior season stats include some monster numbers such as 12 games played, 165/281 for 2,391 yards, 14.5YPC, 199.3YPG, and 21 TDs. Williams rushing stats were just as impressive. 177 carries for 1202 yards, 6.8YPC, 100.1YPG,and 21 TDs. William accounted for 3, 593 all-purpose yards and 42 TDs. Those are Madden video game numbers! Williams numbers tell his story but I watched his film from his Junior year and this kid is just talented. William puts a great spin on his deep ball with great accuracy and his short to intermediate routes are just as accurate. I am exited to see what William does this fall and I cannot wait to see him play. College recruiters should join me!
Jackson West– 2022 Class- RB Heber Springs Panthers
I had the pleasure of coaching this young man in 2018, his freshman year for the Junior Panthers. He always has a great attitude, smiles, very respectful, and a hard worker. Jackson was the Junior Panther’s work horse but the last two seasons were spent behind two great running backs who were Jackson’s teachers. Jackson is looking for a breakout season this fall for the Panthers. Jackson stands at 6’2 and weighs 185 pounds. Jackson has the ability to score TDs from short or long distances and he will run over you if you underestimate him. Jackson is as tough as they come. Jackson can also play multiple positions from time to time running routes as a receiver and a valuable asset catching passes from the RB position. Jackson is certainly someone I am looking forward to seeing this fall. Jackson also plays defense recording 65 total tackles in 2020. Colleges should keep Jackson on their radar.
Spencer Pepper– 2022 Class- QB Lonoke Jackrabbits
Spencer started his Junior season with big hopes of doubling his sophomore numbers from the QB position but fate threw Spencer a curve ball. Very early in Spencer’s Junior season he suffered a season ending injury. Spencer was undeterred and now on the cusp of his Senior year, Spencer has plans to remind opponents who he is. As a sophomore, Spencer put up great numbers with his arm and legs. Spencer stands at 5’11 weighing in at 165. Spencer’s sophomore stats were 105/202 1,325 yards, 16 passing TDs, rushing 202 times for 992 yards, 99.2YPG, and 11 rushing TDs. Spencer is a defensive nightmare because from the pocket if there is no rush he can find the open man. He will burn the defense with his legs if rushed and blitzed. Spencer is someone I am exited to see this fall and colleges should plan to see him play in Lonoke on Friday night first chance they get.
Crete Tippin– 2022 Class- RB Perryville Mustangs
Crete is certainly a RB who has the right ingredients for a monster Senior season. Crete stands at 6’0 and weighs 175 pounds. Crete played 10 games last season racking up 917 yards on 165 carries, 5.6YPC, 91.7YPG, and 14TDs. Crete’s abilities as a RB stand out on film. Crete runs down hill but also has the speed to pick up chunk yardage regularly. The one thing I like most about Crete is his willingness to take contact and doing his best to always fall forward. Crete is a RB primed to make big noise this fall in Perryville for the Mustangs. Colleges should definitely have Crete on their radar.
Jason Sullivan– 2023 Class- RB Carlisle Bisons
Jason stands at 5’10 and weighs in at 195 pounds. Jason runs the ball with reckless abandonment. Jason introduced himself in 2020 as a sophomore but without reading his sophomore classification then a person could have easily thought Jason was at least a Junior. Jason runs the ball low to the ground never stopping his feet and Jason always runs down hill. Arm tackles are not enough to bring him down and Jason has great endurance taking multiple handoffs in a row gaining good yardage each carry. Jason has great vision, he can find the end-zone with his eyes and shear determination of not being denied. Jason has great ball skills holding the football high and tight never swinging it around. Jason hits hard and if you do not grab his legs and hope help is close he will take defenders with him. Colleges should be watching Jason this fall early and often.
