Today we look at prospects from Central Florida 5A District 2. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.
In this article I can only evaluate two quarterback prospects in this District because Mount Dora will be replacing Evan Hill who graduated, and Horizon and Lake Buena Vista are brand new schools gearing up for their inaugural seasons this year. I feel the two quarterbacks that are returning in this District deserved to be talked about and spotlighted. I really look forward to checking out the two new schools and finding some prospects this season.
Dylan Waters- Tavares High
5’11 170lbs
Waters looks to guide Tavares High again this season, Waters isn’t the biggest quarterback in terms of size, but it doesn’t seem to hinder his ability to find passing windows to throw through, he does show the ability and arm strength to rip the ball into tight spaces, he has good athleticism and shows the ability to throw on the run. He also makes quick decisions and gets the ball out of his hands quickly. Waters is a player to keep an eye on in the district this season and he will have a big part in helping Tavares to have successful season.

Blaine Romano- Eustis High
6’1 180lbs
Romano is a very good college quarterback prospect, last season he threw for 1373 yards, 9 touchdowns, and completed over 69% of his passes! He averaged throwing for 228 yards per game and also had 102 yards on the ground. He has great shoulder/feet spacing and has very good mechanics, he’s a natural thrower that shows elite accuracy at all three levels of the field, shows very good athleticism being able to throw on the run. He currently holds a D1 offer from the University of North Texas and is getting some interest from Middle Tennessee State, he also was invited to compete in the Elite 11 this off-season. I expect him to have a huge season this year.
