They ran the table in the playoffs until they met St. Joe’s Prep and unfortunately lost in the Class 6A State Finals. Central York became the first York County football team to win a state playoff game and reach the state title game. Central York’s 2020 season will be remembered for a very long time. Now we take a look at their 2021 roster.
QB: Beau Pribula Beau Pribula 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Central York | 2022 State PA 6’2 210; 2022
Beau who is our number 1 ranked QB in his class will be entering his final year. The Penn State commit had an amazing junior season, completing 67% of his passes, throwing for 2,156 yards and 34 touchdowns. He also added 519 yards on the ground with 14 touchdowns. If Central York has any chance of going back to the state championship, he is the key to making it happen.
WR: Parker Hines Parker Hines 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Central York | 2023 State PA 6’0 180; 2023
Parker is our 2nd ranked wide receiver in his class. According to Maxpreps, he had 27 receptions for 358 yards and 8 touchdowns in his sophomore campaign. Expect those numbers to skyrocket, as he should be Beau’s go-to guy now that Judah Tomb Judah Tomb 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Central York | 2021 PA and Taylor Wright-Rawls Taylor Wright-Rawls 6'1" | 165 lbs | WR Central York | 2021 PA are gone. He is a good player, tracks the ball well with good ball skills.
LB: Carter Glassmyer 6’1 205; 2022
Carter has good size. He shows quickness with decent speed. He reads and reacts well. Shows to quickly shed off blocks. Has good closing burst. Has good change of direction. He is also a good tackler. I see Carter as the heart and soul of that defense, he is a true middle linebacker. He was productive last season with 94 tackles, 57 solo, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble. Believe he could be a good FCS linebacker.
DB: TreyShawn Smith 6’2 175; 2022
TreyShawn has good size. He does look a little stiff but shows good speed to stay with receivers. He shows to have a slow transition out of break but good acceleration. Needs to improve as a tackler. Shows to put hands on receiver in press but wish he were more physical. Has the ability to high point, had a couple of pass breakups but has average ball skills. Believe TreyShawn is a D2/D3 player.
