David Bailey David Bailey 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Mater Dei | 2022 State CA , Mater Dei, 2022
Bailey is arguably the best pass rusher in California’s 2022 class and he showed that in his season debut against Servite. The highly-touted junior had 10 tackles, five for a loss with four sacks and a forced fumble. Bailey is 6-foot-3, 220 pounds and too fast for any high school tackle to keep out of the backfield. He has 10 offers including Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and USC.

Jaylen Braddock, Chaminade, 2021
Braddock caused all sorts of havoc in the backfield in Chaminade’s win over Bishop Amat last week. The senior had nine tackles, two for a loss with a sack and a forced fumble for the Eagles. He has been dominant this season posting four sacks through three games with three forced fumbles. He is 6-foot-4, a hair over 200 pounds and transferred to Chaminade from Alemany. He has no offers but he would be a steal for a Division 3 program looking for a late addition to the roster.

Erik Hehl, Newport Harbor, 2021
Newport Harbor surprisingly hung tight with crosstown rival Corona del Mar in the Battle of the Bay game last week and it was because of Newport Harbor’s defense. Hehl led the Sailors’ defense with 14 tackles and two sacks in the 10-7 loss. He is just over 6 feet tall and 240 pounds and can be a defensive end or outside linebacker depending on the defensive scheme. He has very good strength just like a prototypical Newport Harbor guy and has a high football IQ.

Wyatt Mosier, Yorba Linda, 2023
Mosier is very built for a sophomore and is developing into a very good football player. He had a career-high 14 tackles, including two tackles for a loss and caused a safety in a 16-6 win over Crestview League rival Foothill. Mosier has had double-digit tackles twice this season and has 36 on the young season. He will be an intriguing prospect to watch for the next few seasons.

Lukas Saavedra, Dana Hills, 2021
The Dana Hills defense likes to turn up the head on its opponents and blitzes on over 50 percent of its snaps. Saavedra is an outside linebacker who benefits from the Dolphins’ aggressiveness. He had five tackles with six hurries and a forced fumble in a close win against league rival Laguna Hills. He has 11 hurries and is constantly in the backfield.
Proud of these young people. The hard work they put in over the course of the last year with the topsy-turvy state of things. They stayed focus and now they are reaping the benefits of the hard work. pic.twitter.com/lBoTPKnkok

Kanious Vaughn, San Clemente, 2021
San Clemente head coach Jaime Ortiz was very high on Vaughn in the offseason and the senior defensive end is living up to the hype. He is 6-foot-2 and bulked up this offseason to 220 pounds. He had 11 tackles, four for a loss with 3.5 sacks in San Clemente’s dominant win over San Juan Hills. He was always a speedy edge rusher but with his added size and strength he is a much-improved run defender. He is undervalued and would be a solid late addition to a lot of college programs.
🚨 College Coaches take note of @kanious_vaughn stat line from last night's game against San Juan Hills. At 6'2, 220, this senior is a steal for any college looking for an impact player! 🚨 pic.twitter.com/g74LUWJ80G
