Holmes County has always been a hotbed for talent. Last year, safety Andre Ellington was a standout player who signed with Mississippi State. This year, rising senior defensive back Khamauri Rogers Khamauri Rogers 6'1" | DB Holmes County | 2022 State MS has been recruited nearly every school in the country. While there are certainly some big names, folks aren’t talking about a lot of other prospects in Holmes County that have college potential. Let’s dive into some of the biggest sleepers.

Jerrell Boyd | 2022 RB

A shifty back, Jerrell Boyd was a big time playmaker on the Holmes County Central offense. Boyd stands at 5’9" 185 but looks to have room to continue growing. He has quick feet and good vision that allow him to find the open hole and go. Boyd starts and stops well and makes defenders miss in the open field with ease. Although he isn’t the biggest, he is not afraid of contact and bounces off it well. Boyd can also catch out of the backfield and be a valuable asset in the pass game. Currently lists offers from Austin Peay and Holmes. Will be a riser in the next ranking update.
