There are a variety of options at quarterback you can search for but one common trait that the good one’s have is the gunslinger mentality and here are five guys that fit that bill.
1. Ty Simpson Ty Simpson 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Westview | 2022 State TN (6’2 190) – Westview (Committed to Alabama)
– One of the top quarterbacks of the entire 2022 class, Simpson is a well versed signal caller that plays the position with confidence and a big reason why is his arm. The Chargers senior to be has a big arm and makes just about every throw on the football field, especially the ones that are created from nothing. Simpson is a gamer that tends to make the big play in big moments and his arm along with his football knowledge is why. Simpson has that gunslinger mentality that will put the ball wherever he needs to complete the pass and his talents will only improve as he learns under the teachings of Coach Saban in Tuscaloosa.

2. Kyle Lowe Kyle Lowe 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Fayette Ware | 2022 State TN (6’0 192) – Fayette Ware
– A strong and compact guy with a big arm, Lowe cracks this list as he sports that kind of arm that can sling it anywhere and be a playmaker from the quarterback position. The Wildcats star signal caller has strong mechanics, which in turn helps his arm strength and ball placement to put the ball wherever it’s needed. Lowe throws a great deep ball and does so with accuracy. The ball explodes out of his hand but he has a soft pass that allows his receivers to haul in the catch. He is also quite athletic, so he works the pocket very well, finding a way to release the pass. You can easily see why college staffs have interest and have offered this West Tennessee quarterback.

3. Cade Law Cade Law 6'1" | 210 lbs | QB CPA | 2022 State TN (6’1 205) – CPA
– A defending state champion quarterback, Law is well known around the Middle Tennessee region as a gamer, a leader and a strong armed passer that can make NFL throws. A well built, physical guy that plays with an edge, Law sets the tone the moment he steps on the field with his demeanor and command of the offense. He proceeds to display that big arm of his and then you can see why collegiate coaches are very interested in his abilities as a leader and a quarterback. Law is a true gunslinger as he not only sports the arm but has the mentality as well. He is a bulldog, a gamer and someone always ready to compete.

4. Joseph Cummings (6’3 200) – Independence
– Cummings would be considered the under the radar guy but he has as big of an arm as anybody on this list and just might have the best mechanics of all. The Wildcats stud quarterback has really put together a strong offseason thus far where he has improved just about every facet of his game and that includes improving his arm strength. A big guy with deceptive athleticism, Cummings is a poised guy behind center that has some of the best timing and accuracy of any in-state quarterback for the 2022 class. Helping those traits is his arm strength and the ability to place the ball deep down field on time. Cummings has a great makeup about himself along with the physical traits to play college ball. He is just waiting on the offers to arrive!

5. Aden Hooper Aden Hooper 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB MTCS | 2022 State TN (6’2 195) – Middle TN Christian School
– If anybody on this list truly fits the word “gunslinger”, it has to be Hooper. The Cougars rising senior walks out onto the field fearless, ready to compete against anybody and he has the talents to back it up. Hooper is one of the strongest workers around, so he is always working on his craft and trying to improve in every way. One area that is ready to go on the next level for Hooper is his arm strength. He can place the ball just about anywhere you want him to and he is not afraid to put it into tight windows. Hooper will take that chance to make a big play if he is allowed to. The offers have yet to come his way but he certainly has the arm power and talents to eventually see them come his way.
