Norview (Norfolk) ATH MarQeese Dietz
Dietz has played all over for Norview but where he really shines it at DB. a leg injury in his junior season derailed his recruiting in a major way but he looked good in the limited camps during the summer of 2020 and looked good for Norview in their spring season playing QB, WR, and DB.
Dietz recruiting is a result of the injury, coupled with not being able to be in front of coaches due to COVID-19, but Dietz is a very good young athlete and sits at 5’11” 175lbs and would be a good fit for a program still looking for a good, albeit raw DB.
Oscar Smith (Chesapeake) LB Tae’Ron Richardson
I can tell you right now why Richardson doesn’t have any D1 offers and it’s his size at 5’10”, aside from that, Richardson is a playmaker and an absolute weapon in a Smith defense that, coming into the state semis only allowed nine points and in that state semi game, Richardson had the game-seeling interception.
Richardson was one of a few kids that benefitted from the G.A.M.E Academy’s fall 7v7 league as he made big plays each week from LB for the SoNo Tigers, made up of mostly the same guys he plays with at Oscar Smith. Richardson does have a roster spot offer from Hampden-Sydney.
Wilson (Portsmouth) DE Anthony Waddler
Waddler looked good on the defensive line this season, having a three-sack game early in the season. Waddler knows how to get to the QB and has good size at 6’4″. While Waddler doesn’t get the spotlight that some players on other teams get, he makes the most of what he has and has proven to be a force on the DL.
Waddler does have some offers from Shaw, UNC-Greensboro, Johnson C Smith, and Virginia University of Lynchburg. Waddler tells me he is close to committing but isn’t sure yet.
