Offensive Spotlight
Deshaun Castro, RB, 5’8″ 180lbs, Clover Park HS ’24

The freshman didn’t have a huge year for Clover Park, but he did enough to showcase his talent and potential, as he looks like he is going to be a big threat the next 3 years for Clover Park. His first play on his film he takes a screen pass to the house, where he looks like he’s wrapped up in a pile, and somehow slips out and turns on the jets to take it for six. He shows a nice initial burst and accelerates well through the hole. He runs low and shows a good low pad level at the point of contact. He’s slippery in tight spaces and can catch the ball out of the backfield. He holds a 3.6 GPA and massive potential, as he looks like a promising young prospect, and should be a 2024 kid to start getting on your radar. He has also been invited to a few camps and combines.

Defensive Spotlight
Xavier Pulea Xavier Pulea 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Clover Park | 2022 State WA , LB, 6’2″ 235lbs, Clover Park HS ’22
Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11165955/Xavier-Pulea
Pulea sizes up with a strong, athletic frame and plays like he has no off switch. He’s a high motor kid and a solid all around athlete. Very coachable as he’ll play any position asked of him, as we’ve seen him line up at LB, WR, RB, and even QB. As a LB, he displays good instincts with a nice reaction to the ball. He takes fairly good pursuit tracks toward the ball carriers and is a very effective tackler. I’d like to see him square up a little more, but he proved to still be athletic enough to make tough plays. His functional strength stands out to me as well. You can definitely tell he transitions that weight room strength to the field and it has been a big part of his game. He seems to have a good understanding of zone responsibilities in coverage, and does a great job reacting to the ball and initiating contact from sideline to sideline. Definitely potential there fore Pulea, and he’ll have a big role his senior year next year.
